Easter Candy Station & What I Wore

If you follow along with my blog, you know I am proud to call my home state GA, I have lived in the peach state all my life. My home is not too far from the city of Atlanta, without traffic its about 40 minutes south. You probably know where I am going with this...the epic 85 bridge collapse that happened Thursday evening! My goodness, it is all over the news and what everyone is talking about today. This bridge is a main artery in the heart of Atlanta and is causing HUGE delays. My sympathy is towards all those Atlanta commuters who are having to deal with this nightmare. And it looks like it will take a while to get fixed. I hope telecommuting is an option for many and patience on the road is practiced by all and by companies! I hope they will be compassionate and understanding if their employees are late to the office. But Atlanta is strong and will figure out the 85 nose dive, in the meantime...
Some jumping over the bridge of traffic to decor, I started putting out my Easter decorations this week and I can't wait to share what I have been working on! I usually call it my coffee station but this seasons its become the candy station, and who doesn't love all the yummy Easter candy!
 Hop To It!!
I got some super cute Easter egg garland from Walmart.com, they have really stepped up their seasonal decor this year and its a lot cheaper then Home Goods and Oriental Trading. The garland was long enough I used it in other areas of my house. Good thing I took this pic before Hubby saw the cookies, cause they are all gone now! They are those yummy Toll House pull apart cookie's you bake.
See that cute little driftwood bunny, Aunt Sue made this for me (you may remember she made me a Santa too). He is so cute!! The welcome bunny sign came from Walmart and the Easter gingham egg where given to me from a friend a work who has some stuff for her Goddaughter she forgot to give her, so lucky me I got a big bag of goodies!
This jar of colorful Peeps is my favorite part, I love these little things!! They are so bright and colorful and scream Easter! They will be perfect in my morning hot beverage! I also picked up some egg shaped M&M's, Taylor is loving these.
Nothing says spring like butterflies and pastel colors, so I love pulling out my lovely Lenox Butterfly Meadow mugs I received as a wedding gift. So pretty and perfect for Easter!
Speaking of spring time pastel colors, last weekend was so nice I was able to wear my new Old Navy rose colored drawstring shorts with my Cinderella tee, I felt like a comfy princess!
My new army green dress I found at Target last week when I went in for cold medicine, both items made me feel better!! I paired it with my Target booties!
I got this paisley print dress last year from Lolly Wolly Doodle, it fits great and has my cute monogram in orange. I paired it with my blue necklace.
Another Disney inspired outfit for the work day, I paired this comfy yellow dress with black leggins and flats with a red necklace. And of course I took my Beauty and The Beast purse with me!
A picture can saw a thousand words, can't it?!
Mom Life right here!!
Taking out the garbage and pushing a kid at the same time down the street. Cause if the kid is not moving or being held she screams.
So we have to learn to multi task and realize we need another set of arms!!
I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!!

Simple Joys & A Garage Door Update

With spring weather official here, the girls have been playing outside everyday when they get home, they could spend all night out there to if I let them! Over the weekend I started working on getting our patio gazebo up again, I got the base done myself, hopefully Hubby can help me finish it off this weekend and we can enjoy some shade while playing with the girls outside. I was proud of how much I accomplished on my own, the tent itself is not too hard but its not super easy to assemble either, but what in life is?!
We have been enjoying dinner on the patio too, it seems weird but I think the girls eat better and more food outside?!
Being a working parents there is not too much time to prepare a big home cooked meal every night after work, but its ok cause there are so many frozen and canned foods available that it saves Cook Mom or Dad a lot time! For example the other night I heated up some Gorton's Fish, corn on the cob, green beans and some garlic knots. Coco really liked the green beans, she would come get one at a time while playing on the slide. I also enjoyed my meal with an ice cold cherry Coke! Sitting on the patio was so nice, and will be even better in the SHADE!
The girls enjoy having a picnic on the driveway with one of their favorite places to eat, Chick Fil A! I got this cute Peppa Pig table at Walmart.com for their birthday last year and have gotten a lot of use already from it!
While at CFA I couldn't pass up a chance the try the new frozen strawberry lemonade, its almost like a milkshake and very good! Perfect for some warm weather!!
I usually don't like to spend a lot of candles, cause they don't last that long, but I have been really wanting to try this Spireside Candle, at $20 bucks a candle its not cheap, but the smell is SOOOO good! Each candle is based on Disney, for example this is the Polynesian scent based on the Polynesian Resort. I love it and can't wait to expand my collection!
I try to drink water during the work day, although I wish it was a big glass of sweet tea, my dentist would not approve! This week I picked up a bag of frozen mixed fruit for $3 bucks, I just add a couple of pieces to this super cute Olaf water bottle in the morning and it adds some extra flavor to the water, pretty good!
I was driving home Saturday with Taylor from our party when I saw a local church near our house serving breakfast for dinner, as soon as I got home I told Hubby and he jumped in his car to pick us up some dinner, boy was it good! You CAN'T BEAT good church lady cooked food!! We gobbled some some ham, scrambled eggs, grits, biscuits and raspberry pound cake, YUM!!!! All for $7...SCORE!!
Who doesn't love an cold orange cream Popsicle?! So yummy!
Hubby had to pick up some new contacts so while he was out he went by Marie's Deli, its yummy local restaurant we have had before and it never disappoints! You know I love all things olive so this muffalata was perfect for me, topped with lots of cheese and a side of pasta salad.
Cars parked like this, over their lane, NOT a simple joy!
Making the work day cuter with a new monogrammed notebook!
 Playtime with sister!
My Mom updated her garage and told me about these super cute magnetic carriage door accessories, I think she got hers at Home Depot. I found some from Ebay for $23, here is the before pic....
Just the normal white garage door, here is the after with a little update...
 What do you think??!
I am really liking them!
And you can see I had some helpers too!
I hope your week has been going good so far, I saw this quote and loved it! Don't depend on anyone else to make you happy, it comes from you XOXO

Celebrating Kate!

Over the weekend Taylor got invited to another great birthday party, she's been having a fun month partying! This party was for our sweet friend Kate who turned 5. Kate's Mom is one of my BFF's. We met in Sunday School a few years ago and have been close friends ever since. It makes my heart happy to see our girls be friends, Kate is quiet and reserved yet she is also sweet and fearless!!
Kate's party was held at All Around Gymnastics, a great venue in Johns Creek and super fun for parties!!
I can't lie, when I saw this big jump pit I wanted to dive right in, but the adult inside me said no, Taylor loved it though!!
Justin helping Taylor launch a foam square over the wall!
Climbing the big ladder to the slide!
The birthday girl flying in the sky, Super Kate!
Sometime we all need a little help making a big leap XOXO
Make a wish sweet Kate!!
Ready for some yummy Trolls cake!
The kids chowing down!
The Party Animals!
We had a great time celebrating little miss Kate! We hope you had a wonderful birthday sweet girl!!

Trolls Movie Night

A few weeks ago my niece Avery told me I have to do Trolls for our next movie night, she loves the movie! She was completely right, its really cute!! And the music is great!
After posting our movie night on Facebook, I heard from parents saying how much their kids loved this movie! Its so bright and colorful!
You may recognize these hats from Avery's party pictures, they were so cute I re-used them and got this cute Poppy the Troll doll from Ebay.
Look, a real like Troll!! She looked just like Poppy!
The food was bright, sparkly and easy! I just made a funfetti cake the night before with some neon pink vanilla icing and sprinkles, just like the color of Poppy' hair!
I had to be quick with this pic! Coco is not too crazy about the Troll hat!
 Daddy Troll and Taylor Troll
I joined in the action too, like my blonde troll hair?!
Mom, look at all the Trolls!!
"I got that sunshine in my pocket
Got that good soul in my feet"
Love this song, go JT!!
 My tiny Troll

 Selfie x 2!!
We've watched the movie a few more times since we got it, and been to 2 Trolls birthday parties in 2 weeks, its defiantly one the kids will love!!

Simple Joys & What I Wore

Are you ready yet for a fun weekend? I know I sure am!! You know at 5 PM I will be sprinting out the door at work! It has been a fun week with lots of little simple joys, here are some of my favorites:
Hubby makes some of the best guacamole, its my favorite anywhere! I don't exactly know what he does, but he adds avocados, sour cream, salsa, lime and salt. Just hand me a bag of chips to dip and I am a happy girl.
Nicole looking lovely in her Strawberry Shortcake that use to be Taylor's, hello to my 80's childhood! I got this dress from Ebay when Taylor was a baby, its super cute and super soft. This is her face when I was telling her to get in the car, she just kind of looks at me, smiles and runs in the other direction!
My friend Janet posted this on Facebook and I told her I could have BINGO multiple times with this card, I do all of these!! Except class picture day, I haven't forgot that YET!
When publicly insulting someone and their family its important to check your spelling or word usage to make sure its correct. Chelsea is a JEANous!!
This picture from Instagram caught me eye, I think its creepy and cool at the same time. It was taken by a camp fire.
My sweet girls painting the drive way with water :-)
Look at Coco in those little shorts with her little legs, I can't even!! Precious!
Check out this yummy meal Hubby made for us, yellow rice and soft tacos with chicken, its great coming home to a delicious meal. I took this pic with Nicole on my hip, as soon as I took it she barfed. Milk. On my shirt, arm, pants and food.
How much fun does this inflataBULL rodeo bull look?!
I ordered this chicken gyro and Diet Coke from Foodsby this week at work, it was so good!! Love that tzatziki sauce!
Daddy & Taylor sitting outside after a busy day enjoying the pretty day XOXO
I love Martha White's muffin mix, its super cheap and so good. This the strawberry mix, just add milk and bake. When it comes out of the oven I like to add some butter on top, so good!
I started the first day of spring with some bright pink, Lilly P print skirt and white button down. I paired it with my hot pink necklace.
We enjoyed some temps in the 80's this week so it was the perfect time to try out my new Lilly P short!! My first pair and I LOVE them! Super comfy with the elastic waist, I will be wearing these all spring/summer!
Mom gave me this silver and navy necklace for Christmas and I used it as outfit inspiration, I got this navy dress from Walmart 4 years ago and paired it with this gray cardigan from Target.
I love the black and hot pink look! So I paired this black and white gingham from Shein.com and these hot pink pants from Amazon, love the color combo!
Friday is the best work day ever, right? We can dress more casual so I wore my favorite Tangled tee and white shoed. Speaking of Tangled, don't forget to tune into the new Disney show tonight at 7:30 PM, we have it recorded!!
Have a great weekend and thanks for keeping up with me!
