Sweet & Sassy and January Tablescape

If you follow along you may remember I took Nicole to Sweet and Sassy to get her hair cute, Taylor was supposed to come with us but was too sick :-( But she made a comeback and was able to get 5 inches cut off Saturday!!
Look at that length!! She and I were both ready for a break from the tangles!!
Drum roll please!!
Doesn't she look beautiful!!
Nicole went with us and did pretty good, she enjoying laying on the floor though with all the hair!
Since it is the last day of January I wanted to show you my simple snowman table scape before the Valentine Day decor started. The tablecloth and place mats all came from Lakeside Collection.
I love the look of lots of white candles, they are so soft and give off a great glow!
The beautiful candle stick holders came from my Mom!!

Lunch with JRae & Celebrating Savannah's Birthday

Saturday morning I got some help cleaning the kitchen from Snow White, and she did it all with a smile :-)
A good friendship is amazing in many ways, just a simple and yummy lunch with a friend can leave you at peace and optimistic, a good friend is like that. If you follow along you have heard me mention Janet before, she is my high school buddy who still in our 30's remains one of the best friends. She amazes me and is a positive light in my life and so many others XOXO
If one friend was not enough, Saturday I got to celebrate my college roomie Sarah's daughter's birthday at an indoor pool!
No doubt, this will go down as one of my girls all time favorite parties to attend! Who would have thought of a pool party in January, but it was awesome and the girls loved every second!!
And the food was all my girls favorite's, Chicken McNuggests, strawberries, Doritos and Carpi Sun! Topped off with a yummy unicorn chocolate mousse cake, they were in heaven!
Hubby's teacher friends surprised the girls with some glitter slime!
And fun Peppa Pig blocks and Fancy Nancy coloring books!

Simple Joys

The end of January means the start of taxes and when you see just how much you paid in 2018 for 2 kids to go to daycare and it surpasses a year of college all you can say is....!!!!!!!
Taylor marked her 100th day in kindergarten last week. She has really impressed us with all the things she has learned so far, she makes us so proud!
And every princess needs a crown right?!
Taylor took this pic :-)
Friday's always get a thumbs up, right?!
I have been so excited to share this pic, its our new bed!! My parents gifted us the wonderful king size bed over Christmas and Hubby built the headboard. Its beautiful and so big, we love it!!
Our winter blue and white snowman mantle for January with my Christmas flowers still going strong! Let it snow!! Most all this decor came from Lakeside Collection a few years ago, they have a great selection!
Cinnamon roll smiles :-)
Taylor and Daddy cheered on The Wolverines Friday night at the basketball, she was focused on the Skittles!
The end of a busy week can have us all like this XOXO

UGA Basketball Game & What I Wore

Not too many pics from this UGA basketball game Saturday with my parents and G, right after Hubby took this pic, Nicole BARFED all over me!! I jumped up from my chair and headed to the bathroom, needless to say we headed back to the condo after that! YUCK!

Being barfed on is made better thanks to Gigi and a trip to Trader Joe's! Its the cure all! Thanks to Gigi, Tayor and I went to Dunkin Donuts for some Girls Scout flavored coffee, TJ's and Walmart. We had a blast!

White at Walmart I got this super soft mustard color dress for $10 bucks, love it!

 Monogram + Lilly P=Happy Lindsey!
This is my casual Friday outfit at work
Pink and green is one of my favorite combos! This top came from Shein.com and the pencil skirt from Amazon
Nothing too exciting about this outfit, I just love the color combs, I saw it on Pinterest!
I have had this outfit for years, everything came from Walmart except the scarf, it came from Etsy. I love coral and mint, have you seen my guest bathroom?
Flower power!
And the best outfit of them all came from this little cutie!! Our sweet friend Katie gifted the girls some new outfits for their birthday, adorable!

Winter Table

I have some more winter decor to share with ya'll today! I love all the blue and white colors and still keeping some twinkle lights around after Christmas!
This monogram tartan plaid plate is one of my favs form Dixie Delights! I have had it for a few years now, the paper table runner came from Oriental Trading and the light up mason jar came from Lakeside Collection. Their winter decor is the best I have seen!
Some more snowmen coming at you! The plate came from Lakeside Collect and the cute hand drawn plate came from Taylor!
I keep my blue and white plates up all year and I added a wooden snowflake hanger and some shiny snowflake garland around the china cabinet.
And since I just updated it last night, here is the new Home Depot lamp I got for this table! I really love the size and little details on the lamp shade, its so cute!
Surround yourself with light!!

Avery's 3rd Birthday Party

If you have followed us along thru the years you are familiar with Taylor's BFF, Arya!! Her little sister Avery is in Nicole's class and they are friends too. Avery turned 3 years old so we were invited to celebrate with her Minnie Mouse style over at her house!
Here the girls are enjoyed some pizza, fruit, chips and juice!
They have a huge basement playroom all the kids love playing in!! Here is the birthday girl with all her friends!
Hiding in the corner, what are these 4 up too?! I smell trouble!
Cold weekends are perfect for crock pot meals!! I cooked my Grandmother Kee's yummy Brunswick Stew with The Memory Making Momma's Cheese Bundt bread. Ya'll both were soooo good!! If you don't follow Jennifer, you should, so many cute ideas!
My sweet girls in their matching monogram sweatshirts from Catherine at The Monkey & Wheasel. I thought the red would be perfect for UGA basketball game and Valentine's day coming up!

Emoji Movie Night

Happy MLK friends! I am sure you have seen all kinds of inspirational quotes today from Dr. King, his words were very wise and still apply today.
When I picked Taylor up from daycare Friday, she had less teeth then when I dropped her off!! Two front teeth gone!!
The tooth fairy was very good to her!!
For movie night this week we had all kinds of emotions with The Emoji Movie!
One of the most popular emoji's, the smiley face!!
Taylor's favorite emoji of course, the poop!
Don't worry, its just a chocolate cupcake and some cutie oranges!
This was a super cute movie, especially if you love emoji's like we do!!
Taylor loved when the Poop Emoji said he was "just doing his duty"

Simple Joys & Winter Kitchen

My approach to dusting :-)
Happy Friday!! We made it!!
A fun little throwback pic of both my girls at 4 months old!! Adorable!!
I better not stare at these too long, I will want another!!
Last Friday was parents night out at daycare so we used Hubby's Olive Garden gift card and enjoyed a yummy pasta dinner with dessert, it was so good! I could eat bread sticks every day, all day!
Its always great having kid free time together, but always better coming home to these sweet girls!
When winter weather is outside, nothing beats a warm treat. Here is my January hot cocoa station. Lots of snowmen, marshmallows and mints!
Lakeside Collection is my favorite for snowmen, I kept my gold tree from Target and added my snowman light and some candles for a soft glow.
I did add some cute new Pioneer Woman kitchen towels on my flower hooks, they were holding bibs but we have moved past those days :-) I also added my snowman canvas to the pantry door.
For one of my favorites spots in the world, my coffee stations, I just tied some blue ribbon around my kcups and put out my silver tree and some more snowmen.
I have 3 of these cute mason jar candles with snowflakes around them, I put one on the cutting board with another snowmen, tied some more blue ribbon around our candy/granola jars and used the girls Olaf stuffed animals as decor. Use what you have, right?!
And anytime you need something cooked in the kitchen, give Chief Coco a call!!
Have a great weekend everyone, thanks for taking the time to stop by!!
