What I wore and a teaser

Finally Friday, yeah!!!! See Tom Cruise running out of the office building, that will be me at 5 PM!

I picked up this cute polka dot top at Walmart last weekend for under 5 bucks and paired it with an older red skit and black heels, its really soft and comfy!
I ordered this dress online when we went with my brother to the Zac Brown Band concert at Lakewood, it was so much fun and HOT!! I love anything with a floral print!
I've had this top for a number of years and its held up great, it came from 10dollarmall.com. I wore my stretchy black capri pants for extra comfort!
I was looking over Reese Witherspoon's Draper James clothing line, some super cute dresses, but the prices...ouch! I think Reese forgot her down home Tennessee affordable roots! But there was this bird print I love and found something like it on SheIn.com, its a dress but too short for work so I wore my black leggins with it.
Some Lilly P on a Friday to lift my tired spirits!
Have I become that weird Mom who takes pictures of my sleeping kids?! I couldn't resist, look how beautiful and peaceful she looks!
And last but not least I made a yummy dessert last night for movie night tonight, any ideas what we will be watching?!
Hope everyone has a fun weekend!!

Simple Joys

Working full time is a lot of hard work :-) But having little joys in the work week really help us all. From someone saying they appreciate and recognize your work to buying lunch for you, it defiantly helps employee moral. Here are a few simple joys this week that include some yummy lunches at work...SCORE!
I am not a big salad eater, I prefer the yummy things in the salad rather then lettuce but I think Mellow Mushroom has the best salad ever! Maybe its the olives or yummy salad dressing but you know I was going back for seconds. And their pizza is just as good, love that crust!
Work sponsored lunch usually includes dessert. I picked up this huge cookie for that 2 PM feeling :-)
Sweet dreams are made of Lilly P! My Mom got these lovely monogrammed pillow cases for me, I love them and they are cool, great for the summer nights!
I love Jimmy Fallon and Tonight Dough Ice Cream is so good!! Watching his show, eating this ice cream is just awesome!
Should I get this for my hubby or Dad?!
Glazed hot Krispy Kreme's are great, glazed hot Krispy Kreme's with chocolate are even better. Glazed hot Krispy Kreme's with chocolate and sprinkles...I can't even....
My little ray of sunshine!
I love a good before and after! I ordered this wreath from Lakeside Collection. I saw an Instagram picture where a wreath was hung over these 2 small cabinet doors we never use, I really like it!
My sweet friend Katie sent me this picture, notice her pretty nails, she always has the best colors and is a Charming Charlie lover like me! Hello Yellow!
I posted this new purse in my Disney on Ice Post, but I love it so much I wanted to show it again! Its too small for my everyday stuff but think it will be great when I take the girls to the zoo or pool!

Picnic in the Park

My hubby made the suggestion we have a picnic in the park Sunday since the weather in GA has been so great lately. I packed up some sub sandwiches, crackers, a lunchable and some cookies with a blanket and off we went!
We went to Sims Lake Park in Suwanee, its not really close to us, but its got a great playground and lake. So we found the nearest shady spot!
I'm loving that she can sit up on her own now, I feel like we can do so much more with her! This is a quilt my Mother in law made my hubby, its all kinds of special shirts he had growing up, very cool!
Taylor was excited to find some cheese crackers!
Love this big tree we found, lots of shade to keep us cool.
Taylor found a goose, I think it made her day!!
"I need more crackers Mom!!"
I wear my Lilly P glasses anywhere I can! Look at Nicole, I think she knows what a selfie is!
Resting and playing doesn't happen as much as I wish it did, I really try to soak up these moments between the craziness life can bring!

Movie night & twinkle lights

For movie night we went Hawaiian with the Disney movie Lilo & Stitch! If you love Elvis music and surfing, this is a great choice for you!
I ordered this cute sticker book from Ebay for Taylor. The beginning was a little hard to follow but the movie got better as it went on. Its a good message about what family means. In keeping with the Hawaiian theme we got a pineapple and ham pizza!
I also cooked up a pineapple upside down cake, it tasted better then it looks!! Anytime I can use cherries its a win for me!
A few weeks ago at my Dad's birthday party, I noticed the clubhouse used some Xmas lights in the fireplace and I thought it looked so great. I tried to create the same look at my house and really like it. Here is the before and after!
Pretty dark and not much going on until....
I think it gives it a more cozy feeling and the price was right, I just used some Xmas lights I had in my storage closet...SCORE!!

Frozen On Ice

What a magical time we had watching Frozen on Ice this weekend, it was one of the best live shows I have seen!! Everything Disney does is top notch and it didn't stop with their ice show! Taylor and I were so excited to have Gigi come join us, its a day I will never forget!
Princess Taylor wore a beautiful Elsa dress I found on Walmart.com, she let me curl her hair as we sang Let It Go. Here we are before we left, we met Gigi for some yummy Mexican, hello cheese dip!
We had great seats which really surprised me, with a tight budget I get as cheap as I can, but we were almost in the center and could see really well! I was impressed with Gwinnett Arena, very clean and comfy seats!
Of course we picked up some snacks, how cute is that little Disney popcorn bag and a $15 lemonade was refreshing. I usually would not pay that much for a drink, BUT the glass was so cute I might use it more then Taylor this summer!
Group Girl Selfie!!
The show opened up with Mickey & Minnie coming out, along with all the Disney Princess characters, it was fantastic!! I was hoping we would get to see everyone from Snow White, Ariel and Cinderella, they were beautiful!
Here is a clip of the opening number, Your Love is Lifting me Higher!
Seeing Taylor and Gigi's face was my favorite part, they loved it too!
Loving every minute!
The dancing Trolls
A great performance by Ana & Elsa!!
Everyone's favorite song Let It Go, the entire show was spectacular!!
Seeing Taylor so happy was truly the best part for my Mom and me, we are making memories that will last a lifetime!
I've slowly tried to increase my Disney wardrobe, I found this shirt from Ebay, it was an XL and still tight but it was cute. I also got this adorable Vera Bradley purse from Ebay, its perfect for outdoor activities cause it hangs around my chest instead of using my larger purse. I am hoping one day to take it to Disney World!!

7 months & simple joy's

This week our baby girls turned 7 months old and is getting cuter by the day! She now has 4 teeth coming in, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom, she is sitting up, eating more baby food, drinking apple juice and laughs at her big sister!
Reasons keep growing on why I love my Keurig, and here is another, Tootsie Roll flavored hot cocoa!! I picked some up at Walmart, its really good and creamy, just what my sweet tooth loves!
I tried this new recipe called Pasta Puttanesca from a cute blog I follow named A Cup Full of Sass. It was the first time I had tried whole wheat pasta and it was pretty good! Very light! And I love anything with olives:

  • 3 cups cooked wheat spaghetti
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2½ cups spinach and arugula mix
  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • 3 Tablespoons capers
  • 1 cup black olives
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 Tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • Salt, pepper and red pepper flakes
Instructions
  1. Boil water in pot and add spaghetti noodles. Cook until al dente. Reserve 3 Tablespoon of cooking water and drain the rest.
  2. While noodles are coking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic, red onions and capers and sauté for approximately 2 minutes.
  4. Add halved cherry tomatoes and black olives to pan. Sauté for approximately 4 minutes.
  5. Add spinach and arugula mix and cook for approximately 1 minute.
  6. Add cooked spaghetti noodles and the 3 Tablespoon of reserved water.
  7. Continue to cook for an additional minute or until spinach and arugula leaves wilt.
  8. Remove from heat and squeeze lemon over pasta and season with a little salt and pepper.
  9. Mix well.
  10. Sprinkle with a desired amount of crushed red pepper flakes.
  11. Enjoy!
I picked out this Cover Girl Flamed Out Mascara at the store and love the wand! Its really big and gives my short little lashes some more color.
I wish I could look this cute in a ball cap!
I ordered Jimmy John's this week at work when I hit my Lean Cuisine limit...FREAKY FAST! I just loved this sticker :-)
I spend A LOT of time sitting in traffic, no fun. But this week I was sitting at a red light and I noticed this row of trees, I love how they all arch over the road, it felt like I was driving through a tree tunnel!
I was shocked this week as the rest of the world to find out we lost another great musical talent in Prince. He was a truly talented musician and song writer. 57 is too young and another example for each of us the live each day to the fullest. So many great songs, Nothing Compares 2 U Prince.
