Nightmare Before Christmas Movie Night

Happy Halloween friends!!!
And a Happy Birthday to my #1 reader...
My Mom!!
She is the best Mom and Gigi around, always smiling, supporting us, encouraging us and loving on the girls. She has always been there for me and our family, we are so blessed to be able to call her ours!
Happy Birthday Gigi!!
We finished up our Halloween Movie Month with The Nightmare Before Christmas, a Disney favorite by so many!!
One of the most recognizable scenes in the movie is Jack walking down this curled up walkway. I tried recreating in by getting a yummy Edwards frozen pie and drawing the curl with some Redi Whip!
Some Hawaiian Punch made our Sally Red Hair Punch with some creepy and gross gummy worms...BOO!!
Having a SPOOKtacular time with my goblins!
This is always a really fun movie to watch, I think we started it last year.
I am leaving work early today to attend the girls Halloween parade, I wish everyone a safe & Happy Halloween, slow down and drive carefully with all the kids being SO excited and running in the streets.
And a VERY Happy Birthday to my Mom, love you!!

Bulldog Bite, Enchilida Soup, & Daddy goes to PreK

It's GA/FL game eve today, are you ready?! Are you a Gator fan? You may want to stop reading now cause this memory is all GA!!
Remember this fun game 10 years ago, one of the best Bulldog games I have been able attend and defiantly my favorite GA/FL game ever. Hope the Dawgs can go into Jacksonville tomorrow and stay undefeated, it will be TOUGH. But they are a really good team, lets GO DAWGS!!
I wanted to share this really good recipe we enjoyed this week from the website Wishes and Dishes, its enchilada soup and it was SO good!!
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup diced white onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup flour
3 cups chicken stock
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
1 10-ounce can red enchilada sauce
1 (14-ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juice
½ teaspoon ground cumin
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
1 teaspoon salt
optional toppings: tortilla chips/strips, diced/sliced avocado, sour cream, chopped fresh cilantro, and/or pico de gallo
Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. (To save time, peel and dice the onion for the minute or so that the oil heats.)
  2. Add the onion and saute for 5 minutes, or until cooked and translucent. Add the garlic and saute for an additional minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Whisk in the flour and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Pour in half of the chicken stock, and stir until completely combined and no lumps remain.
  5. Add in the rest of the chicken stock, and stir quickly to combine.
  6. Add in the chicken, enchilada sauce, black beans, tomatoes, salt and cumin, and stir until combined. Continue stirring occasionally until simmering.
  7. Reduce heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally so that the soup does not burn to the bottom of the pan.
  8. Slowly stir in the cheese until combined. Season with salt, to taste.
  9. Serve your soup warm with toppings of choice. Enjoy!

This one is a winner, especially in the fall when its cooler outside, both Hubby and I had seconds!
You know I love matching shirts, these are so cute and are a birthday gift from Ms. Katie!
A little late not shopping with her dolls and a cookie XOXO
A few new fall items I am loving, some new Essie nail polish, some elf peach blush and Laura Mercier translucent powder, all from Ebay!
It was community helpers week in PreK and Daddy was one of the guest speakers! Here is a group picture of him teaching about even and odd numbers with Skittles. Then he did some games with soccer, I know Taylor has the best day ever seeing Daddy walk into her class!
Look at the BIG smile :-)
Here is the class in the HBMS soccer jerseys, such a fun time!!
I hope you all have a safe and happy weekend, GO DAWGS!!!

What I Wore

The weather here in GA has really started to cool down and its been great! Its like getting to wear all new outfits again when you pull out item you have not been wearing in months, here is what I have been wearing this week!
This is a new skirt and top from Target, its a light purple corduroy that is perfect for all I think! I thought it would look good with a tan tee that matched my boots.
I love a good maxi dress, they are so comfy and easy to wear, so when I saw this long sleeve one from SheIn.com I thought it would be great for fall!
I love a vest and dress combo, especially when its Lilly P!
I have had this Target Mossimo dress for about 5 years and it still looks great! I got this new necklace from Charming Charlie, I found an old gift card in my purse that still worked, hello free necklace!!
Nope, this is not a Halloween outfit with me dressed as a pirate or Robin Hood, but it is a pic of this totally comfy Target hoodie I am loving right now!
Another Target dress made the rounds this week, its 5 years old too and I love the floral print on it.
Who doesn't love a pretty poncho?! I know I love them! Perfect for fall to keep you comfy and warm. I got this last year at Walmart for under $15...SCORE!!

Hubby's 35th Birthday

Over the weekend my sweet Hubby celebrated his 35th Birthday, OH YEAH!! 35 is a special one so I wanted to make him feel special too. The girls and I surprised him with tickets to the Atlanta United Soccer Game, it was AWESOME!!!
But first, lunch! I picked up a tray of Pub Sub's, Hubby's favorite sandwiches! We have been enjoying these all week still, yeah for no cooking!
While on the Marta train to the stadium we ran into our sweet Bulldog friends, Blake and Kim! This is a STRONG lady folks XOXO
Our first time at The Mercedes Benz stadium and boy was it totally cool! Tons of staff available to help you, tight security, awesome food!!
I took mainly Instastories on this trip so I took some screen shots from that to show you, look at that happy face!
Standing proud while Cee Lo Green sang the National Anthem
We found Fox Brothers BBQ, yum!
And ordered THE BEST tots around!!
We did a ton of walking all around, here we are on the sky bridge, isn't that TV massive and awesome?! There are TV everywhere, even in the restrooms!
There is an entire wall where each GA High School football team's helmet is, very cool!
Go Broncos!
Talk about HUGE!
This Falcon is massive, love it!
I saw it and wanted to fly on it like Harry Potter would!
Oh yeah, Brusters ice-cream for that sweet tooth we both have!
No way I could have surprised Hubby with this game if it wasn't for my awesome friend Katie! She came over and watched and played with the girls while we were gone. They love when Ms. Katie comes over and I always know they are in great hands, thanks KatieB XOXO
Gotta have a sweet treat and candles on your birthday right?! I picked up a yummy cookie cake from Publix, so good!
Love this pic, BFF's 4ever!

Friday Field Trips, Baby Shower, & Birthday's

Did this picture make you laugh as much as me?! Love this!! And its needed if you had to start your Monday morning sitting in traffic due to the rain that moved into GA last night...fun times!
On Friday Forsyth had a teacher work day so Taylor did not have any PreK which meant she got to go on a field trip to Warbington Farms!! They have a petting zoo and pumpkin patch. Here she is with Mrs. Heather!!
I have tried a couple of time to get our annual pic with Skully but Coco is not having it! She wants nothing to do with him and grips to me so tight when I try putting her next to him, but Taylor loves him!! Cheese!
Saturday I was invited to celebrate our family friend Katie's baby boy set to arrive in December. My Aunt Judy and Brenda were the hostesses along with Mrs. Linda, it was in Duluth at The Cottage on Main, isn't this place so cute?!
The menu was southern and everything on it looked delish!
I ordered a fried green tomato with pimento cheese sandwich with a side of potato soup, SO fantastic!
Plus my Mom drove up to join us!!
Here is the Mom to be looking beautiful with the lovely hostesses!
After Katie's shower we celebrated Aunt Amy's and Hubby's October birthdays! Here are all the grands making guac with Omma!
Happy Birthday To You!!
I can't wait to share with you all the phone things we did for Hubby's 35th this week!
