Bulldog Basketball

As much as I complain about work, there are a lot of things I really like, an income, lots of laughing and some great friendships with my co workers and customers! One of my long time customers had some extra tickets to the Bulldog basketball game vs Texas and asked if I wanted them, he had 4 so it was perfect for us!!
It happened to work out my parents and brother with his buddies also has tickets, so we got to hang out with them after the game too!
Ring the bell, its Taylor's first basketball game!!
Snacks are always a must with our girls, we got some popcorn, Skittles and a Coke!
Here we are cheering on the Dawgs, beat Texas!!
Check out these seats, second row!!! I have never sat this close before, it was awesome and we got some free shirts!!
Here is Coco taking it all end, my baby girl had a rough ride into Athens, she like me, Gigi and Taylor get car sick very easily. About 30 min to go and she got really sick in the back seat, poor thing. I think it wore her out cause she was pretty calm and sleepy at the game, which was good for me!
Taylor is loving this plus she has a big bag of popcorn!
A great half time performance form the drum line
My friend Mary Kendrick sent me this screen shot, here we are on TV with Nicole snoozing!!
After the Dawgs got the win we went back to the condo for some pizza, here is Tay with Granddaddy and Aunt Karen
We had a great time at the game and are so grateful for the tickets, GO DAWGS!!

Celebrating Chinese New Year with Mulan II

When you flip your monthly calendar to February you may notice all the upcoming holidays! I am excited and we kicked off this weekend with the Chinese New Year, 2017 is the year of The Rooster, Roosters are hardworking, resourceful, courageous and talented!
We watched Mulan II to celebrate the New Year! I ordered these pretty fans and dragon table scape from Oriental Trading, they have tons of decorations to choose from!
These plates from Oriental Trading were perfect for the year of the Rooster!
The food was yummy and super easy, we love Chinese food! We ordered some fried rice, crab Rangoon, egg rolls and salad.
Nicole loves her some fried rice!
 Yum!!!
 Ready to start!
Lots of music and a great theme for strong girls!
 Waving our pretty fans around
 Me and my sweet girls!
 Daddy & Taylor
We had a fun night celebrating the Chinese New Year, we wish everyone a healthy and happy year of the Rooster!!

Simple Joys & What I Wore

Its almost the end of another work week, I hope for everyone it has been a good one and an even better weekend ahead! I don't have much time during the week to cook but over the weekend I got to fix a yummy home cooked meal!
I made some mac and cheese, salmon croquettes, baked beans and lemon pie from Edwards. What made it really special was using my Grandmother's Corning-ware to server them in!
Saturday morning I mixed up some Martha White Blueberry Muffins, always so easy, good & cheap!
I often wonder what my girls are doing at school so I love getting notes home, especially this one about Nicole, she loves decorating her polar bear with cotton balls!!! Love it!
The taco plate from Mr. Taco is defiantly one of the best around Roswell and makes for a yummy lunch!!
Today I got our form from daycare about how much we paid in 2016, its huge. That is why when I got the registration form for Taylor to start Pre K in the fall I felt like doing cartwheels!! I am not sure what kind of numbers yet, but I do know it will be LESS then what we pay right now and for that I am thrilled!!!
I will let you just enjoy this pic for a little bit...
This week Paul Newman would have turned 92, I have always thought he is the best looking actor of all time. Those blue eyes XOXO
I changed out my beige canisters in the kitchen with these bright and pretty Pioneer Woman canisters from Walmart. They are wide and hold a lot!
Here is another view a little closer up, so lovely!
I use to keep a Christmas poster in this frame outside our front door, until it fell off the wall and cracked! So I moved it inside with out the glass and got this new winter print, love it! I put it on our stairway.
Friday's are even sweeter with cupcakes at work!
While streaming the inauguration I enjoyed a Krispy Kreme with sprinkles and work my patriotic red, white and blue. This dress is from Walmart.
I got this dress a few years ago from Old Navy and I paired it with the new navy necklace Mom game me for Christmas, so pretty!
While cleaning out my purse I went thru my wallet looking at my gift cards, I found one from TJ Maxx and was able to purchase this outfit at no cost...SCORE!
Did you all know TJ Maxx is now online with free shipping?!
It is definatly feeling like winter around here so I am layering up! I paired my long sleeve Lilly P top and vest together, they both came from River Road Pharmacy, a really cute shop in Columbus, GA that sells Lilly P.
This is my favorite new shirt for January, I have had it for a couple of weeks but its been too cold to wear until now! Its super soft and comfy! Its from Groopdealz.com.
On a sadder note, my family and I lost our sweet friend, Bulldog and neighbor Clif this week. He had been battling cancer and has been in a lot of back pain for a number of years. He was able to return back to his home which is in the same neighborhood I grew up in. Above is a picture of my old house I moved into when I was 5 and lived there until my sophomore year of college, so Lawrenceville is what I consider my hometown. The house doesn't look as good as I had hoped, you know my Mom had it looking great! But it doesn't take away from all the sweet memories I have growing up there. After Clif's service we went back to his house with family and friends and it was just like being home again. We saw and visited with our old neighbor's, it took me back to all the great times we had there. Clif was always so sweet to me, he will be remembered fondly.
Being back home makes me think of the Miranda Lambert song, House That Build Me, here are one of the great verses:

You leave home, you move on and you do the best you can.
I got lost in this old world and forgot who I am.

I thought if I could touch this place or feel it
This brokenness inside me might start healing.
Out here it's like I'm someone else,
I thought that maybe I could find myself.
If I could walk around I swear I'll leave.
Won't take nothing but a memory
From the house that, built me.

Playing in the rain & around the house

Last fall in GA we went months with pretty warm weather and no rain, but January has seemed to make up for it! Feels like we have had a lot of rainy days, but that is ok cause it means splashing in puddles!
Last Saturday it was warm enough to go on a walk with a jacket so we strolled around the neighborhood for some puddles. My girls love puddles, just like Peppa Pig does!
 We found some water!
Jumping up and down, splashing around!
Big smiles on a rainy day!
I picked us some Mr. Bubbles spray foam for the girls the other day at Walmart, they love it!! Look at that big smile :-)
When Mommy or Daddy works on the computer, Taylor reminds us she has work to do also. About 15 minutes later she said she was ready for bed, working is making her tired :-)

When Coco walks into the room, it lights up!!
"You are never fully dressed without a smile!"

15 month vaccines and David Bowie Tribute

With both of my girls in daycare, they are pretty strict about keeping everyone's vaccines up to date, which I think is a great thing. So it was time for Nicole to get her 15 month vaccines last week and she handled them like a champ of course!
I love our pediatrician Dr. Campbell, she is super sweet and a Bulldog fan! My only complaint is the wait times there, my goodness it seems long and by long waiting an hour before seeing the Dr. Waiting an hour for anything with a kid is not fun.
But for some reason, we got lucky last week and were the only ones there and it was a short wait...SCORE!!

Playing the waiting game with a Dr. Seuss book. My girl was a champ, they made her wait with out her shirt and the AC was blowing right on her, BRRR!!!
This girl loves her shoes, even when they are off, she wants to be holding them! I didn't take any pics after this point, you can imagine getting 2 shots she was not a happy girl. But the screaming only lasted a few minutes and she was ok. They told me she is in the 33% in height, I think I have a petite little lady!
A few hours later she was rolling around and smiling!
For Christmas this year I gifted Hubby with tickets to see The David Bowie Tribute performed by The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, it was absolutely fantastic! My sweet coworker and friend Katie kindly watched the girls for us!
No Katie and Taylor did not grow beards, they love doing SnapChat!! I am so grateful for Katie spending her Friday night with the girls they love her! She has watched the girls before and was a BIG part of helping me this summer when Hubby was in the hospital. She watched the girls and spent the night so I could spend time at the hospital, she is awesome!
When I got the tickets to the concert I searched Ebay for a cool and cheap David Bowie tee. I found this one for under $10 and paired it with my blazer and gold tassel necklace.
Here we are walking into the show, The Atlanta Symphony is located in The Woodruff Arts Museum. Its an Atlanta jewel and holds the High Museum of Art along with The Center for Puppetry Arts. If you live in Atlanta and have never been, defiantly check it out!
The entry into Atlanta Symphony Hall
Being on a tight budget all I could afford were seats on the very top row, but it was still awesome!! The guy at the end welcomed us saying "Welcome to Row K!!!"
Notice no one behind us but the wall!
The concert was so much fun, they played all his hits like Golden Years, Little China Girls, Young Americans, Lets Dance and 2 hours more of hits, awesome!!
It was a great date night for us, we stopped by Wild Wings for a bight to eat on our way home!!
