Little Mermaid Movie Night & Making Slime

With warm weather I thought The Little Mermaid would be perfect for our movie night! Who doesn't want to be around some nice and cool water when its hot!
We actually have lots of Little Mermaid toys around our house and wouldn't you know, I couldn't find one of them! But I did find this cute mermaid and starfish, perfect fit!
We of course had to use some dinglehoppers to brush our hair AKA eat our food! I picked up some Veggie Sticks and turned them into Seaweed Sticks, my girls love these!
Nicole's face made me laugh in this pic!
Daddy and Taylor ready to watch the movie!
I made some wiggly blue Jello with Sweedish fish and used Goldfish as the fish food!
My 2 little mermaids
Of course Peppa wanted to watch Ariel too and lay on PK :-)
 Love that little Sebastien!
Daddy and Taylor has some fun with some glue, detergent and shave cream this week
Taylor loved mixing it up!
So gooey!!
These 2 had a blast getting slime all over them!
There is nothing Daddy loves more then an afternoon nap with Coco!
I hope everyone has a fun filled weekend!

Updates around the house & Simple Joys

With the 4th of July Holiday just around the corner I have been updating a lot of my summer/pineapple decor with red, white & blue!! You know I love decorating for any holiday & I can't wait to show you what I have been doing shortly. For now I have some simple joys & other updates around the house!
This little update was free...BIG SCORE!!
It does require a Mom who has great tastes and lots of extra decor around she is willing to give you though :-)
I've had this shelf in our guest room with some Xmas decor on it, I wanted to make it look a little cleaner and Mom said she had some yellow and black decor she was not longer using so I was able to give it a little face lift!
Hubby grilled out some yummy fish and we all love some couscous with olives, tomato and feta cheese!
Look really hard and you can see a rainbow in the sky, at 9 PM at night! Summer nights!
This may be a little hard to see, but our house is pretty long and we don't have many flowers on the side so Hubby picked up some new hosta plants at Home Depot, we are hoping they work out good, no worry about them getting enough water!
Right now this is Taylor's favorite place to be, the pool! She loves it and wants to go everyday!
We had a retirement party for one of our sweet coworkers Charles, we celebrated with some BBQ and banana pudding from Dreamland, YUM!!
My girls love going to our neighborhood playground, especially the swings!!
 I am one lucky Mommy!
I got these cute matching outfits from Kmart
This week was Harry Potter's 20th anniversary, we have been enjoying watching the DVD's every night, we are on the 3rd one now!
I am changing the mantel around for the 4th of July so I moved these pretty flowers and candles from Kirkland's to our bedroom.
I also changed our butterfly wreath with this pink and white flower wreath from Kirkland's.
Water tables are made to play IN not WITH, right?!?!
I added these cute sting lights with little stars in the girls play house for a nice night glow, Starry Starry Night!

We were so excited to see Uncle G, he has been in so many weddings and working hard lately we have missed him!
After the ceremony we waiting outside in the courtyard while they transformed the building with beautiful table's, a DJ and some Fox Brothers BBQ! You know my family loves some Fox Brothers!
There was even a GA Bulldogs corn hole game to play, Taylor loved it!
Mel and her sweet bridesmaids, love that lavender color!
With so many days of rain, I am so happy it stayed clear for the wedding, but it was really humid! I usually like to wear my hair down but I know it wouldn't hold any curl so I did a bun. Lucky me I could wear a dress but the guys were really feeling the heat in suits, but don't they look handsome?!
Andrew & Taylor, AK looking sharp in his little tux!

Bridesmaid Luncheon & Rehersal Dinner

If you follow along with this blog you may remember I mentioned my cousin getting married over the weekend, well she did and it was beautiful!! I got to join in the celebration starting Friday afternoon at the bridesmaid's luncheon then Hubby and I went to the rehearsal dinner Friday night. They were both at really cool and fantastic venues, here they are below!
With some help from my sweet boss and working longer hours during the week, I was able to take a long lunch break and attend the lunch down in Virginia Highlands. If you are an Atlanta native you already know about The Highlands, but if not, its an affluent neighborhood in Atlanta named after the intersection of Virginia Ave and North Highland Ave, a very busy part of the neighborhood. Lots on bungalows and historic homes all around. It's been named the best neighborhood in Atlanta and has some yummy restaurants. It was the perfect spot for Melanie's lunch!
A cute and colorful chalkboard sign outside, love the yellow!
The restaurant was called Murphy's and boy was it good!!
 Beautiful on the inside!
Here is the bride to be with all her lovely bridesmaids!
Here I am with Aunt Karen and my Mom, lunch with the ladies!
Mom & Me enjoying a lovely meal!
This was the best fried green tomato sandwich ever! It was covered in melted goat cheese and I had some truffle mac and cheese as my side. Mom got the grilled cheese and mashed potatoes and we shared, so good!!
After lunch I headed back to work, Hubby took the girls to our friends house and then he met me at work and we headed to downtown Decatur to enjoy a lovely dinner at Parker's on Ponce.
 Date night with my love!
 Personalized menu's!!
Travis' sweet Mom Joy hand made thei beautiful quilt for them, it had all kinds of words that symbolize their marriage XOXO
This was some of the best shrimp and grits I have ever had!! Look at all this butter and sauce...SCORE!
My beautiful cousin and bride Melanie!
 I called this picture #marryingakeegirl
That is the handsome and sweet groom, Travis!
It started raining again on our way out of the restaurant...SHOCKER
I missed seeing my baby girl Friday, but here she is smiling and being cute watching cartoons the next morning!
Friday was so much fun for me, I loved getting to see my family, enjoy some great food, take a trip down memory lane with some old family photos and celebrate love. We are so excited for #melvis!
