Soccer Game & Simple Joys

Greetings friends, hope you all are having a good week so far, work has been really busy and it seems like May is already getting filled up, but all fun things! This Saturday Omma and Poppie came to cheer on Taylor at her soccer game!
What a treat to have them join us, I know Taylor thrilled! It was a pretty day but super windy!
Action pic!!
Cheering on sissy in her shades!
Go team!!
Taylor and Coach Daddy!
Rhoda's Southern Hospitality is one of my favorite blogs, I have been a faithful reader for a while, one of my favorite things she shares is lunch/dinner with her parents, they are so sweet and remind me of my grandparents. The other week her mom cooked beef stew, green beans, squash casserole and desert. I pulled out the church cookbook Shirley gave me and dinner was served! A very southern and homey feel, so good...and CHEAP!!!!
Daddy doing a little hair drying XOXO
There is a lot of prep work getting ready for kindergarten, one of the requirements is the hearing and vision test which Taylor did great at!! Our bad eyes have not got her yet!
These 2 sweeties!!! XOXO

What I Wore

Here in GA we are still in the middle of  cold/warm weather, we seem to have 2 really beautiful sunny days then a few days of cool rain, spring time in the South :-) Here are some outfits lately with a winter twist and some with a spring twist!
I have always loves peplum tops, especially if you are a mommy cause for most of us there is some extra baby wiggles left over from being preggers and peplum tops flatter that! I found this one on Ebay for $6, its  a used Walmart one but still looks great! And way cheaper then the $30 I had my eye one!
This is one of my favorite Old Navy dresses, I wore it when we had our fall family pictures. Its soft and warm, I love a good sweater dress!
This is a pink sleeve less maxi dress from Walmart that is so pretty, I paired it with my Walmart denim dress and a blue necklace!
I always get some many nice compliments on this floral kimono when I wear it, it came from SheIn.com and I paired it with my navy Target dress.
I wore this on a warmer day, I call it my bird shirt with all the pretty bird wings. I love anything yellow and blue!
I think I wore this one day when morning temps were in the 30's, brr!! A cozy sweater helps, this one is from Walmart.
And Lilly P is perfect for a warmer day, my Mom got me this skirt from River Road Pharmacy and my new tassel necklace came from The Dixie Delights Shop.
I originally saw this dress in black when the Freckled Fox was wearing it, it so pretty and I love the swing skirt! The website it came from is Downeast.com.
A simple gray and black outfit with a cute bow tie in the front, this skirt came from SheIn.com.
This was the matching Easter dress I wore with the girls from SparklePink.com, I love anything floral print!

And drumroll please.... this turned out to be my most liked Instagram photo ever! I was excited. I posted it on a hash tag about shopping your closet, I love the concept of shopping your closet, home and pantry before buying new things. I took the staple green vest and paired it 4 different ways, it was fun and I think I may make is a weekly thing!! Stay tuned :-)

Braves Game

Last week I was fortunate enough to win 4 Braves tickets to Wednesday nights game thru work! Sometimes if customers don't get them we get them offered to us. It was my first time at the new SunTrust Field!
With the game at 7:30 PM on a work day I was afraid traffic was going to be way worse then it was, it was not great but we got there with in an hour. The stadium is really something, so nice!! Here we are walking in!
With it being company seats, they were of course fantastic! Check out this view!
Family Selfie!!
Another view of the stadium, we even saw some fireworks after a homerun! Atlanta is so beautiful at night!
One of our favorite parts of baseball games in all the yummy food! and Suntrust has a ton, anything you can imagine! Taylor picked some cotton candy and a hot dog of course.
Crossing the bridge over 285 the girls did great, we made it until about 9:30 then headed home. It was really cool to be able to take the girls, they have a fun time, GO BRAVES!!

Kitchen Mantel

Happy Friday Peeps!!
Right?!
Over the weekend I got to work on a really fun kitchen project thanks to my Mom and it started off with this beautiful mantel she picked up at her local thrift store. I had texted her a pic of a kitchen mantel I saw on Instagram that was cute and she found one just like it!
Of course most of the men in my family thought this was crazy, but they just don't have the creative spirit!! Here is kind of my before pic where I had my red shelf of pictures.
Not a huge move but I love it!! I just shifted this red shelf over in the other corner to make room for the mantel. I even added some photo frames I had on the wall behind the white plates, love the look!
And here is the finished look!!
I absolutely love it, perfect for the wall!! A huge thanks to my Mom for the mantel I could not have done it without her help!!
The beautiful painting came from my Grandmother's friend, I love it!!
What I love must about this project is other then the mantel everything else I used to decorate it with was already in my house. I bought nothing new (cause I don't have any money!!) and it still came out great. A good reminder to shop your home, closet and pantry before you shop!
And the last kitchen update is this sliding screen door Hubby put up for me from Home Depot for $50 I think. The best air....is FREEE AIR!!!!
So while we are enjoying cooler temps in GA my free air is keeping us cool.
Now come June.....the door will be closed :-)
Have a great weekend!

The Greatest Showman Movie Night

Do you love great music?!?!
Then you MUST listen to The Greatest Showman Movie soundtrack, its SOOO good!!
Omma and Poppie took the grands to the circus a few times so I used this cute circus horse! The movie stars cuties Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron so you sound see if just for the eye candy!!
Thinking of circus food Circus Peanuts were a most! And the classic food on a stick, corn dogs!
The movie had a great message especially for anyone who has felt different about their appearance, its full of great quotes and dancing, trust me you will find it time well spent watching it!!
While getting ready for church Sunday morning I found the girls actually sharing the IPAD and being so cute, a Kodak moment!!
It was a rainy and Sunday morning but my sweet girl had a good attitude made even better with a bright pink umbrella and Elsa Bear!!

She got a good amount cut off, it looks so cute!
