Nicole's Christmas Party and Crockpot Chocolate Candy

On the Thursday before Christmas I got to attend Nicole's Christmas Party which was so much fun of course!!
Here we are munching on some cheese puffs and all sorts of toddler goodies!
After her party Taylor got a special treat too when she got to come home early, YEAH!! Here they are playing with PK once we got home!
Friday before Christmas we all got to enjoy the day together, Taylor is ready to have a fun day!
While Daddy and Coco did some Xmas shopping, Taylor and I got to enjoy a McLunch together!
I was in charge of dessert for Portmas on Saturday so I took a great and easy route, I ordered this beautiful red velvet Bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cake and they delivered it straight to my door...SCORE!!
I poured together these yummy chocolate covered peanuts in the crock pot, super easy and very good! I found the recipe from Rhoda at Southern Hospitality, if you don't follow her you should, she is so sweet and has a great blog!!
Crockpot Chocolate Candy
2 lbs (36 oz) salted dry-roasted peanuts
4 oz (4 squares) German’s sweet chocolate
1 12-oz package semisweet chocolate chips (about 2 cups)
2½ lbs white almond bark
  1. Put the peanuts in the bottom of a 4-quart slow-cooker. Layer the chocolate over the peanuts, beginning with the sweet chocolate, followed by the chocolate chips, and then the almond bark. Set the temperature on low and cook for 3 hours. Do not stir the mixture.
  2. After 3 hours, stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until smooth. Drop the candy into cupcake pan liners, using about 2 tablespoons per liner. Allow the candy to cool completely before removing the cupcake liners. Makes 30 to 40 pieces.
If you can’t find almond bark, substitute white chocolate chips.
(Ours made more than that, more like 75 –80 pieces.  I think it depends on how much you put in the liner.)
I also had an extra strand of lights so I hung them in our master bathroom, I love the look and I added a flocked wreath for a winter look!
