Simple Joys

That Friday feeling, right?!
This is my new favorite tee! You know I like to get seasonal shirts so when I was thinking about May and Mother's Day I thought this tee was perfect!! I ordered it from the Etsy shop Lift Her Up Clothing, their shop is super cute and speaks the truth!
This new book arrived yesterday from Amazon and I can't wait to dive in, I just have to find the time to do it!!
Me and my church date, all smiles :-)
 Isn't she lovely?!
 My blessings XOXO
Using my McDonald's app I was able to score a free icee!! They were very good! We got fruit punch and cherry limeade flavors.
Taylor liked the fruit punch flavor the best!
Blondies have more fun!
Daddy went by the dollar store and put together this treasure box all on his own! He has been using it to reward Taylor for doing chores around the house, she really likes it (not the chores but the toys!!)
A big blue sucker for picking up toys!
 Waiting in line stinks!
Love me some hash brown casserole and its super east and cheap!
Hubby loves to grill and I get to enjoy it!
I am not a big deviled egg fan but I thought these looked yummy! Fancy Pantry is one of my all time favorite restaurants  for sure!
Sunday morning smiles :-)
My new Happy Everything plate attachement for May, some flowers of course! I also got this cute little bird house to sit next to it, I thought it was great for spring.
I hope everyone has a very Happy Everything weekend!!

Hair Cut, Master Bath Update & G

Over the weekend Hubby watched the girls for a few hours while I got to get my hair cut, it was a treat!! I always enjoy getting my hair cut, from the washing, to the styling, to the new products and smell good hair its so much fun!! I wish I had a hair stylist everyday :-)
But for now I enjoy Bob Steele Salon in Alpharetta, I've been seeing them for a number of years, they are super sweet, do a good job and very well priced...SCORE!
I love seeing all the great products, although they are too much money for me usually I recognize a lot of them from Instagram hair bloggers :-)
I usually don't buy any of the products they used, but I changed it up this visit and splurged on this Redken High Rise Volume mousse, my stylist used it and I could instantly tell how much fuller my hair looked! I have been using it everyday since then, just running it thru my damp hair before I blow dry and I really like what it does. Gives me more hold and volume with out being sticky or greasy, and the smell is great!!
Here is my 2 inch shorter with layers hair, what do you think?!
When its hot and humid you can find me & Coco by the fan, any fan!
I've always loved the look of chandlers over a big garden tub, although maybe a little unsafe!! You never know what can happen when I put my thinking cap on...
Enter Hubby and his ladder in the bathtub!
Yeah!!  Candelabra!! I ordered this from Amazon, it was about $35 and I purchased the candles separately.
All it required was a hook and chain from Ace Hardware, special thanks to Hubby for hanging it up for me!!
Here it is a night, Taylor was in here with me when I took this pic, she loved them!
Last week American Treasure Willie Nelson turned 84 years old. I have always been a big Willie fan, but who isn't? Even if you are not a country music fan, you know who Willie is. Here is one of my favorite quotes of his.
Speaking of treasure, I want to give my faithful blog reader and brother a BIG Happy Birthday wish! He turned 28 at the end of the April, here is a throw back pic of when I was taller then him!
That is no longer the case now!! G is a big teddy bear with a huge heart. He is very clean too. Like don't even think of bringing a red fruit punch in his car, it would not be good if it spilled! He loves country music, he also loves cold weather. During the summer, no one is hotter then G, except maybe me when I was preggers, that was hot. He is smart and holds a Masters Degree. GA sports are his thing. He knows everything about every team, his biggest love of course is the Dawgs. Although we disagree a lot when it comes to our Bulldogs, we both sill love and cheer for them. He loves Chick Fil A, but not a Starbucks fan, I am trying to work on that! He's a great Uncle too. I remember when I found out I was going to be a big sister, I couldn't wait for my Mom to have the baby, I was 9 when he was born, I was so excited to see him & I still get excited to see him. He makes me laugh like no one else & I wish him the best year EVER!!! Love ya G XOXO

Last summer we took the girls on our first family movie theater trip to watch The Secret Life of Pets, it was so cute but we didn't get to see all of it cause Nicole told us it was time to go! So I was excited to watch it for our movie night & Taylor was REALLY excited cause she has been watching the movie at daycare :-)
I had lots of fun with this one cause there are a lot of Secret Life of Pets party decorations out there! I got the table cloth, plates and cups from Walmart.com. I had these doggie ears from a previous movie night so I reused them!

May Home Decor

With a new month and new holiday coming up, I packed away my Easter decor and pulled out my May flowers and Mother's Day items! I love changing out my home decorations, this one was a little bit harder compared to Easter. There are tuns of Easter decorations everywhere but finding flower decor was a little harder, but I enjoy the challenge!
Easter Bunny was packed away in order to make room for some spring signs, a lot of the items I already had out, but I just moved them around, saving some money :-)
I kept my butterfly mugs out and moved my Target Spring has Sprung sign from the mantel to here. I did find this adorable little bird cage with butterflies on it from Lakeside Collection, it even has a battery powered candle in it, very springy!

I downloaded this super cute Mother's Day printables from Etsy, each under $3 and used my white frame. The flower table runner came from Lakeside Collection.
I love this Plant Seeds, Grow Blessing sign, it was bigger then I expected and was not sure where to put it. So I put my Tiffany lamp up and put this wood sign in its place, love it! The middle parts even folds out, so sweet! It came from Lakeside Collection to. My Mother's Day gifts from the girls are always my favorite, here is one from baby Taylor in 2013!
I kept my Welcome Spring sign up and here is my little Target table, I really like the way it came out!
When I think of bright and bold flowers, The Pioneer Woman is where its at!! I ordered this new table cloth and runner from Walmart.com, I think its perfect for spring time!
I updated our front porch with this soft indoor/outdoor rug from Walmart, now its just needs me, a good book and some sweet tea to enjoy. Oh yeah, and some free time to do it!
I don't think wreath's are considered romantic, but if they were this would be it! I am loving this soft pink flowers and burlap bow on this Kirkland's, very feminine for Mother's Day I think! I love Kirkland's, they always have great stuff, but their shipping is a lot, its like almost $8 bucks so I don't order from them too often, but every time I have, I love the product!
For the garage entrance I hung up this burlap flower door hanger, I got it from Etsy a few years ago and it still looks cute!
I also put up my Welcome Y'all mason jar, an Etsy favorite I have had for years!!
What is the perfect table top for a new Pioneer Woman table cloth, some fried chicken of course!! Here is our Sunday lunch KFC style! It was even better then it looks, the green beans are my favorite!! There is something comforting about lunch after church, don't you think?!

Hello May, Easy Nutella Mousse, Pies & Babies

Here is GA today the weather is not as bright and colorful as this picture! It's gray, windy and cloudy to start off the 1st day of May, but it won't stop all the fun May has to offer! We have some family pics coming up, a baseball game, work lab visit, Taylor's recital, reunion's, graduation parties and for those of us in the corporate world, the first holiday in almost 6 months....YES!!!!!!
You may remember me blogging before about my Mother In Laws amazing chocolate mousse, y'all this stuff is amazing! She makes it by request on your birthday if you are her favorite daughter in law, WINK, WINK!
I was scrolling through Facebook and got hooked on one of those cooking videos, you know where they pour everything in one bowl and make a meal. This one was a Nutella mousse and was very simple so I gave it a try!
I had my sous chief Taylor with me, the first bowl was heavy cream and sugar we mixed up into a whip cream. We combined it with the bowl of Nutella and cream cheese.
WOW!!!
Here is what it looks like after being in the fridge for about an hour. This is like heaven in a bowl.
I highly recommend making this yummy treat, we are loving it at my house right now! Here is the recipe from the website PureWow (note instead of Nutella I used Great Value Hazelnut Spread and saved myself a couple of bucks):

Ingredients

Mousse
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
¾ cup Nutella (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions

1. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the cream cheese with the Nutella and confectioners’ sugar until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl; wipe out the mixer bowl.

2. In the bowl of the electric mixer, this time fitted with the whip attachment, whip the cream to soft peaks. Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and whip to medium peaks.

3. Add a third of the whipped cream to the Nutella mixture and fold with a rubber spatula to combine. Add another third of the whipped cream and repeat, folding until incorporated. Add the final third and fold to combine.
When I first started working at the front desk, I became fast friends with a coworker named Marc. He is like a big teddy bear, we always laughed a lot, often went out for lunch, loved Starbucks and football. He is one of the most generous and sweetest friends I have. About 2 years ago Marc started having some health problems, to make a long story short it was discovered he has ALS, AKA Lou Gehrig's disease. It's a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Marc is no longer working and is at his home receiving great help, especially from his sweet wife Alice. Even battling this, Marc continues to stay positive and funny, he is an inspiration. We also share the same birth month, so every year we would exchange a fun gift. This year Marc surprised me with 8 delicious pies from The Best Dang Bakery in Woodstock. This picture does not even show half of the pies he sent over!
Everything from cherry, to apple, to lemon and a breakfast quiche. It was amazing. No one has ever done such a grand gesture like that for me, I was so thankful!!
Marc is friends with many people at work who all enjoyed the pies too. I am forever grateful for my friendship with Marc, lots of laughter and smiles thru the years!
Speaking of sweet friends, we stopped by to meet the newest addition to our sweet friends Karley and Skipper's family, baby girl Savannah Kate, isn't she beautiful?!
At six weeks old she was so tiny and beautiful! This is their 3rd girl, you know Karley is staying busy!! Congrats!
