Friday Night Under The Patio Lights & Simple Joys

Happy Monday everyone, are you still adjusting to the time change yet?! As all parents know kids don't really sleep an hour later cause of the clock so Sunday was not too hard for me, I just don't like getting home and its already dark! But the fall days have been wonderful here in GA so I really can't complain!
Tomorrow is a HUGE day for America, we finally get to find out the winner of this years Presidential race is, I know everyone is anxious to see the results!
It should be an exciting week along with the fun weekend we just had, the weather is so great here Taylor is outside playing almost every night so Friday night we didn't do anything too special, except enjoy some pizza and dessert under our patio lights. Sometimes just being at home and relaxing is just what we all need!
Hubby ordered a pizza from Marco's, I laughed cause our neighbors and my parents picked up Marco's Friday night too!
Taylor loves the Mickey Mouse snack's, they come in mouse shaped packages with fruit, pretzels and cheese, and they are pretty cheap!
When Hubby orders pizza he usually will also get either a salad, wings or dessert, lucky me he ordered this warm, cinnamon & sugar with butter dessert and no kidding, we ate this entire thing!!
Nicole seems to be such a different eater then Baby Taylor was, she LOVES pizza and chicken, Taylor is not a huge fan. Here she is enjoying some pizza!
Taylor & Daddy being silly
Me & my baby XOXO
After Halloween I realized I had some personal days left at work to use before the end of the year, talk able JOY!!
I think this summer I pushed myself so much at work cause I was unsure if I would need days off at work to care for Hubby once he left the hospital. My hard work paid off and I got to enjoy 2 days off work and I loved every moment!! I was able to take down my Halloween decor and start my Xmas decor. I started off with my cute Lilly P dress and a sweet treat from DQ, love it!!
While the girls were at daycare, I was able to meet Hubby for lunch in downtown Cumming at Laguna Mexican Grill, he had just left jury duty so it worked out really good and it was yummy!
He orderd the chicken tortilla soup with lime
I had this huge Taco Salad, very good!
If you are a county music fan like me, you loved the 50th Annual CMA Music Awards, I watched the entire thing and loved every second! Even Nicole likes the song Peter Pan :-)
I've been a People Magazine subscriber for years, love it! I enjoy having a few minutes to myself to look thru, especially when silver fox Jon Bon Jovi is on the cover. As I was reading thru it seemed like every article was aimed in one direction, I will let you guess what way that was by the pics above!!
The headline in this article make me laugh!!!
When Ella and Sophie stayed with us, my cousin Mindy gifted me these cute magnets, pens and stationary from Hallmark, love them all!! Isn't she so sweet?!
I love Friday nights knowing you don't have to wake up to an alarm, even better is when my sweet girls falls asleep in my arms. One of the best feelings ever XOXO

Trunk or Treat at JCBC

I'm ending our weekend of Halloween fun today with a post about our church's annual Trunk or Treat! Gigi and Granddaddy joined us for the first time this year, we had a great time! They drove all the way up from Columbus to celebrate with us.
The girls dressed up as the Nick Jr. characters, Shimmer and Shine! This was the only pic I could get of Nicole's wig but Taylor loved hers!!
She had her bag empty but ready to fill! There were all kinds of cool trunks, each with a different theme!
Taylor got to tour the spooky Kids R Kids van, BOO!
Every year we attend seeing the Halloween train is always a favorite, it has its own spooky village!
This was defiantly one of my favorite trunks, its a big spider, look at those pipe legs!!
Some treaters even brought their dogs, here is Gigi and Nicole waving to this cute little pup
Lots of trunks to cover, going to need some help carrying all this candy!!
Measuring up against the scarecrow!
Walking back to our car we all commented on how pretty the leaves are now here in GA, they are changing into such beautiful fall colors!
I saw this post on Instagram and just loved it!!
Its something I really try to work on in my own life and need to do more of.
So many people have given me grace and I need to do the same thing, especially since its as sweet as a yummy Resses, my favorite Halloween candy!
This post wraps up a fun, spooky, & candy filled October for us, it was so much fun! From all the decorating, beautiful weather and smiles on all the kids faces when its time to trick or treat. So many of my family members celebrated birthday's and I am grateful for another year I had with them all and look forward to many more. This is definatly my favorite time of year with more days off work, yummy Thanksgiving food and Christmas decor everywhere. I hope you all have a great weekend & I can't wait to see what November brings!!

Pumpkin Patch & A Tractor Ride

I wanted to share another adventure we went on when Sophie and Ella stayed with us last weekend, we took another trip to Kinsey Family Farm and had a blast!
Although the calendar says fall, we are still enjoying 80+ degree temps in North GA, so we put on our long sleeve Halloween shirts and headed to the farm :-)
I just love the American flag blowing in the back ground, just as pretty as these 4 girls!
Both girls loved being pulled around in the wagon by Ella!
The sweetest girls in the patch! Here I am wearing my favorite Target Here For the Boos shirt, this shirt has been totally worth the $13 I paid for it, I have worn it so much in October. In fact I ordered some Christmas tee's today to start wearing for the Holiday Season!
The best little helper ever, love ya Soph!
Taylor loved hanging on to the cow fence, MOO!!
This trip to Kinsey Farm we took a ride on the tractor!
A fun trip for $12...SCORE!

Sophie and Ella
As we rode around the lake you could see all the Christmas Tree's as they grow and are getting ready for the season
Half way thru the ride, we stopped by the lake to feed the ducks and fish!
The farm provided little cups of animal food to take on the hay ride
Here is Ella helping Taylor feed some ducks! This lake had some of the biggest catfish I've seen!
Although it was really warm, we had a great time at the pumpkin patch!!
Before our trip to the farm, we all enjoyed some yummy Hershey's Chocolate Pie, Edwards makes it in the frozen dessert section and its SO good, I defiantly recommend picking one up to enjoy!

Happy Halloween!

Its the start of a new month, can you believe it?! And the holiday's are just around the corner!
I wanted to share what a fun Halloween we had this year, with the girls getting older they are really starting to enjoy all the costumes and candy! Taylor was even ringing door bells all on her own! With Halloween falling on a week day this year I took a half day from the office and I was so glad I did. Hubby and I got to attend the girls Halloween Parade at school!
Here comes Nicole first, see our little genie on the far left, being held OF COURSE!
And then out came our other genie, Shine!
After the parade we were invited back into the classroom to snack on some spooky Halloween Party food!
The parents are asked to each bring something for the party, I used these 3 simple ingredients to create some Halloween cookies. Just melt the Wilson Candy Melts in the microwave, dip the Oreo's and sprinkle on what ever color you want to, so good!
Let them dry over night, I like to put mine in the fridge and enjoy!

Of course Taylor wanted the cupcake first, her favorite!!
Even Nicole got to come to the party with the big kids!
Since Daddy was dismissed from Jury Duty early he got to party too!
I really try to enjoy every second with Hubby and I are able to attend a school function, with us both working it doesn't always happen like this so I am really grateful we got to enjoy the parade with the girls.
Before we knew it, it was time to start trick or treating!
Candy bucket is loaded and ready!
Nicole switched into a new Halloween costume, it was still so hot I thought her being in a long sleeve shirt would not be comfortable, enter Taylor's Snow White Halloween costume!
She was excited seeing Taylor ring the door bell!
Shine filling that candy bag UP!
Has it got darker we headed back to our house to hand out more candy, we had a lot of trick or treaters, all in great outfits!
Nicole liked just being able to walk around and look at everything.
I think she looks like she is going BOO in this pic!
First sucker!
I also picked up this Halloween Cake from a yummy bakery called Nothing Bundt Cake, its red velvet with chocolate chips and cream cheese icing! While I was in the bakery I saw Pastor Andy Stanly, he is Pastor to one to Atlanta's biggest church organizations, North Point Ministries. He is a fantastic speaker, I have seen him a few times preach. Looking back I wish I would have said hello but I was too star struck!
I picked up some cheap black bags at Walmart and used some play sand we had in the garage to make some Halloween luminaries, it was the first time I have done this and I loved it!! I think it also helped trick or treaters see the steps leading to the candy!
Not only is Halloween tons of fun, its also super special cause it's Gigi's birthday!!
We were so excited she and Granddaddy came all the way up to go to Trunk or Treat with us at church. Hubby cooked a yummy steak and fish meal and we enjoyed a yummy Publix Birthday Cake. We love Gigi so much and wish her the happiest of birthday's, hope its the best year YET!!
