Lifesize Mr. Skully & Movie Night

At my job we are all giving a set number of vacation days to use per year based on how many years of service you have. I some how miscalculated and actually has more days off then I thought...greatest news ever!! So I use them and don't want to lose them, last Friday I took a day off of work with no doctor appointment or anything like that scheduled. Just a day to myself...YES!!!
My hubby was out of town on a school trip and Taylor talked me into letting her stay home with me. I am a sucker I know. But she is big enough now I can take her to places and do some errands I wanted to do, we actually have fun together. I have fun with Nicole too, but its a lot of work with a baby as you may know :-)
But before our girls day another awesome Halloween decoration arrived from Target:
Meet the life size Mr. Skully!!
Isn't he spooky?!
And just look at Nicole's face, she is not a fan...YET! But don't worry, I am not going to be scaring anyone with him, he is a nice skeleton :-)
Here he is solo...BOO!!!
I also added a few Halloween decorations in our guest room, if anyone dares to spend the night!!
This is a hard picture to see, but I got another Target Halloween wreath, its super cute with orange and black balls. I hung it up with some black chevron ribbon.
I also picked up this Halloween wood sign from Walmart and put it on our guest room dresser. This dresser and bed was mine growing up and I treasure it, its very special to me XOXO
If all that doesn't scare our guests then this little trick or treat sign might do the trick!! Just kidding, its a cute little wooden sign from Walmart too, they have a wonderful and cheap Halloween collection this year!
Taylor and me waiting to be seated at Cracker Barrel Friday morning, I couldn't believe how long the wait was, why are these people not at work? Then I heard, it was a teacher work day for Forsyth County...DUH!
We also stopped by Dairy Queen to get Daddy's birthday cake and got a little treat for ourselves!
For movie night we continued our Halloween movies with The Nightmare Before Christmas, I really enjoyed it! Lots of singing!
The scene of Jack Skellengton singing and the walk way rolling out was my inspiration for the main dish, a store bought apple pie with Redi Whip!
Along with our pie we had some Sally Red Head Punch AKA Hawaiian Punch and gummy bears cause Taylor loves them :-)
Daddy and Taylor excited to watch the movie, SHOWTIME!!

Halloween Skull & What I Wore

Mr. Skully is the newest addition to our Halloween table and he is about as scary as I get around the house! With little ones and myself, I am not really into frightening decor, I like more fun stuff!
He came from Target and I used my Martha Stewart serving tray and put some scary black fabric and garland around his head...BOO!
Another great Target Halloween find was this adorable orange and black wreath, I love it!! Plus it was a big pretty bow at the top!
Here is a pic our our dining room Halloween tablescape, come eat with us...IF YOU DARE!
This is not exactly the easiest picture to see, but I wanted to show you our new orange flickering light bulb Hubby put it, perfect for Halloween trick or treaters!
You know I can't resist a new Disney treat so when I saw these new k cup Frozen hot chocolate's, they jumped right into my shopping cart!
With a lot of cool whip, candy corn and Halloween straw, it was a perfect night time drink, very good!
My family loves some candy corn, its a delicious Halloween treat and I like to keep the candy tray full, you only live once right!
You may remember this top before from Shein.com, this time instead of denim, I paired it with a red skirt and loved it. I think it really brings out the red flowers in the top.
My Mom got me this dress a few years ago from Stein Mart, its a pretty leopard pattern that I paired with a black cardiagain since it was a little chilly that day.
Continuing with my love of all things leopard, I wore this pretty coral dress and scarf, this was another dress Mom gave me, doesn't she have great tastes? I also get lots of sweet compliments when I wear this dress :-)
This is my new cold shoulder top from Shein.com, I am really liking it to! The neck is pretty eye so I don't feel like I am exposing too much skin. I have been seeing these tops all over Instagram lately!
You know I always love a good side by side picture of the girls, here are they in the same yellow outfit, one year old. I defiantly think they look alike, love these sweet sisters!
And to close out another side by side piggy tail pic!!

Cumming Fall Fair

Every October our city, Cumming has a fantastic fall fair. In fact, I think its ones of the biggest in NE GA. It stays in town for 2 weeks and there is tons to do. Kids are free and adults are $7 each, its a great deal! The weather was pretty warm Sunday and we had a great time! Here are some pics from our fair day!
Just look how excited Taylor was when we told her where we were going, try not to look at my messy room!

The fair is on the Cumming Fairgrounds, lucky for us its only about 10 minutes from our house and parking is only $3, not a bad deal!
I've always loved any type of fair, all the food, lights, colors and rides are so exciting! And most everyone is happy :-)
Our first stop was the merry go round, all 4 us rode that. I was holding Nicole thinking it would go pretty slow, wrong!! It started moving up and down fast, I was holding Nicole and laughing so hard!!
Next Taylor drove the boat!
Captain Taylor, look at that big smile!!
After driving the boat, Taylor flew a fighter plane
I was so proud of Nicole, although she was too small to ride a lot of stuff she did great!! No tears and smiling at everything, there was so much going on that she could look at.
This was a ride I wanted to go on, but the rules said you had to have on closed toe shoes, I had on sandals so Hubby got to ride with Taylor. She was not crazy about this one, it was a little to high for her, maybe next year!
Here they are at the very top, flying high in the sky!
But its not like we put her on the Tower of Terror, she was smiling!
I did get to ride the Dumbo elephant with Taylor though and it was great!!
One of the many perks of being a parent is getting to be a kid again!! We had so much fun spinning around!!
Riding the little caterpillar
A full day at the fair will really knock you out, I was feeling the same way!
Taylor got to play one more thing before we went home, the ducks and she won a teddy bear!
It was a funday Sunday for sure at the fair, we all had a lot of fun and look forward to all the rides next year!!

Saturday in Athens

With UGA having another home game last weekend against Vandy, we headed up to Athens Saturday morning. We sold our tickets and watched the game on TV, it didn't have a great result for sure! The Dawgs ended up losing but we still had fun and I took my first trip to Trader Joe's!
Taylor and her side pony are ready to cheer on the Dawgs!
Taylor got some great puzzles for her birthday so we pulled a matching game up with some gummy bears and played a game, she is really good at matching them all!
Coco loves to crawl around on anything!
With our Dawgs not playing so hot, Nicole and I took a little trip to Trader Joe's. I have always wanted to go, I hear about it a lot on blogs, but there is not one close to my house. But there is one in Athens, only about 15 minutes away...SCORE!!
A cute little pumpkin stand when we rolled up in our shopping cart.
My favorite blogger Dixie Delights mentioned Trader Joe's cinnamon dusted Tuscan cheese so that is what I was on the hunt for. They had so many specialty cheese's I got some other flavors too!!
Outside they had a cute little Trader Joe's truck to take pictures at, you know I was all over that!
Truckin It!!
We got a yummy bag full of goodies, here is what we have been munching on!
Here is the cheese I mentioned earlier, its cinnamon dusted, I have never had that before but it was really good!
Some yummy, crispy pita chips
Paired with some turkey sausage we had a good meat and cheese tray!
For dessert my parents picked up some delicious dessert's from their trip to Helen, GA. This Ritz Cracker, peanut butter, chocolate cookie was one of THE BEST cookies I have ever had!! I could eat an entire box all by myself!!
Despite the loss we had a great time in Athens as always, its perfect weather and I had a fun shopping tip, I will defiantly be making another Trader Joe's trip when we had back in a few weeks. If you have any suggestions on what you love there, I would love to hear them!
After work yesterday I heard early voting started. Luckily where I vote is right next to the girls day care, I got there right before 6 PM, no line and I got to cast my vote. I know how fortunate I am, especially as a woman my vote counts here, in a lot of countries, it wouldn't. I have defiantly paid more attention to this election then anyone before. GO USA!!!
