St. Patrick's Day Decor

Happy Monday Everyone! It's never easy starting a new work week (although I find Thursday's harder, I think its just cause I am worn out) but I thought this would make you smile which is always a good way to start the day off:
 Love ya Mom and Dad!
I've been putting up lots of green around the house I wanted to share with you all. I am almost done, just a few more things I am waiting to be shipped, but so far here is what we luck of the Irish looks like at our home!
LUCKY me this beautiful cabinet from Aunt Sarah is green so it goes perfect with all my St. Patrick's Day decor! I changed my chalkboard to read LUCKY to have you and I got this cute shamrock garland from Walmart. The runner is a couple of years old, it came from Home Goods.
The wood sign was a Home Goods find too. These pretty little white flowers came from Nicole's room and I tied a green ribbon around the vase.
I took this picture at the beginning of the month but have changed the pantry door wreath to a long sign I will share soon. I am really wanting a set of green mugs to display but for now I just have my white ones and I tied another green ribbon around the marshmallow jar.
I filled my green bowl up with my favorite k cups, Irish Creme Hot Cocoa, its SO good! LUCKY me gets to enjoy them every morning.
I used the same Walmart clover garland (only a $1 each...SCORE!) to hang across the dining room chest. I also moved that clover cloth wreath from the pantry door to here, much better!
Trying to use what I already have, I pulled out my green monogram letter P I hang up for Christmas and tied an orange ribbon around it for some Irish colors!
It's not the easiest to see, but I switched my white twinkle lights for some green ones that came from Target along with this Irish bunting! Its pretty cool at night, Taylor loves the green lights!
I also hung this wooden St. Patty's welcome sign up but the garage door, this little cutie has been with me for over 10 years, I first got it when I was living in a cabin in Dahlonega, that is right, me in a cabin! Can you believe it, its a long time ago but it was beautiful! The experience, not so much. I mean being along in the woods can be pretty scary. Maybe I will share more about that later :-)
Here is our front door with a beautiful monogram door hanger I got from Etsy, an Irish bunting and I tied some green ribbon around my little lamps on each side of the door. This made me smile, while I was outside hanging this stuff up, my neighbor across the street said hello and told me how much he enjoyed all my decorations, it made my day! I am LUCKY to have such sweet neighbor's!
And I didn't just stop at my home, I wear my Irish spirit to work too!! I got this comfy tee from SweetBabyBlueBoutique, I just love the monogram with clovers, its my new LUCKY tee!!

Celebrating Dr. Seuss Week

This week has been a lot of fun for the girls, they celebrated Dr. Seuss/Read Across America all week! Everyday was a new theme and on March 2, Dr. Seuss' birthday we had a fun dinner. Here is a look back at what the girls got to wear everyday and a wonderful Dr. Seuss quote, hope you enjoy!
 Monday was stripes day!
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose."
Tuesday was fun hair day!
"Step with care and great tact. And remember that life is a great balancing act."
Wednesday was silly hat day, Nicole was not having any of that but Taylor loved it!
"Why fit in when you were born to stick out?"
Thursday was silly shoe day! The girls wore these adorable monogrammed tees made by Catherine at The Monkey and The Weasel. She does such a fantastic job with all the girls tops and dresses!!
"Oh the places you'll go, today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!"
Friday was pajama day! Curl up and read a good book!
"Today you are you, that is truer then true. There is no one alive who is youer then you!"
They even had a special surprise guest come by, its Cat in the Hat!
Taking my Dr. Seuss spirit to work! I got this shirt last year from Ebay and always get some many compliments on it!
For our Dr.Seuss birthday celebration we made some green eggs and ham of course! Here is Chef Taylor scrambling some eggs!
Yum, yum, green eggs!
One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish!
Some blue raspberry Jello with Swedish Fish at the bottom!
I picked these pens, pad of paper and stickers from Walmart
Green scrambled eggs with cheese, ham and cheese on dinner rolls and blue Jello for dinner!
Thanks for cooking a yummy meal Tay!
"Excuse me, why are my eggs GREEN?"
Silly girls in silly hats!
Thing Dad with his Thing 2
And for a fun look back, Thing 1 and Thing 2 last year!
We had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss all week!
I hope everyone has a safe, relaxing and fun weekend XOXO

Simple Joys

We have defiantly had an eventful week so far!! Starting Monday we had sick little Nicole who is feeling better now, Dr. Seuss week at school with all kinds of dress up theme's I can't wait to share with you, a big wind rain storm that came in yesterday that almost blew our tent away and some fun new decor I have been putting out for St. Patrick's Day...is it Friday yet? But thru it all there have been a lot of simple joys I want to share with you!
I am getting so excited about the new Disney movie Beauty and The Beast that is coming out in just a few weeks!! I loved the original movie and thought Belle had the most beautiful voice. Plus it a great theme to never judge a book by its cover. That is something I need to work on myself! True beauty lies within.
I already had these white frames with pictures of Baby Taylor, although I loved them and still have them, I didn't want Baby Nicole feeling left out so I decided to make a little Beauty and The Beast wall, what do you think??!!
I ordered the 3 prints from Etsy as well as the Minnie Ears that I will be taking with me one day when I go to Disney World!! It's on my 40th bucket list!
I just saw today Target's new line of girls Beauty and The Beast dresses and I want to get them SO bad for the girls!! They have a blue and white one that is gorgeous but at $25 each it may have to wait until next payday, I will keep you posted!
Tale as old as time XOXO
Taking it all in and checking everything out!
Have you tried Starbucks new cookie bar?! If you haven't you should cause its delicious!!
My sweet friend Katie gifted me this beautiful monogram mug and necklace, I love them so much! In fact I have been using my new mug almost every morning, its really big and so pretty, a perfect way to start the work day, thanks Katie!!
You may remember me mentioning one of our favorite lunch places, Never Enough Thyme, its in Alpharetta and is so good. One of the best ICU nurses we met last summer, her husband owns it. I was able to stop by there for lunch, lucky me and I tried this yummy white wine, pesto and cheese pasta, divine!
Pictures of kids eating is never pretty to look at but I had to share this to prove it! While at Never Enough Thyme I picked up my favorite dish they make, the Poppy seed Chicken, its pre-made in the fridge. I could seriously eat an entire casserole dish of this stuff and was enjoying a bowl of it when Coco stepped in and starting eating it, she LOVED it! Who is this child? I definitely need to swing by and pick up some more!
I don't know how Ms. Sarah does it, but she somehow manged to braid Nicole's hair, say what?! Nicole would NEVER sit still long enough for me to do this, but for Ms. Sarah she will cause Ms. Sarah is AWESOME!!
If you took my heart out of my chest this is what it would look like!
Isn't she Pawfert?!
Check out her new spring kicks, they even light up!!
Tuesday nights are defiantly my favorite now for TV, The Middle and This is Us both come on. I dare you to try to watch This is Us and not love it, you can't! Its just too good!!
Not sure if you can see this picture really good, but Tuesday night I was relaxing with Hubby watching This is Us and Taylor asked to watch TV with us, look to the left side of the picture in the mirror, see Taylor cuddling with Daddy, oh my heart XOXO
Hands Up!!
Running & Playing!
My brother might be the biggest UGA fan there is, he follows them in football, basketball and baseball and loves them all. But being a UGA is not for the weak of heart. Here he is with the biggest optimist Chuck Dowdle AKA Kool Aid. This picture is the best ever and makes me laugh so much, isn't that what its all about?!
After watching the State of the Union address Tuesday night!!!

Mardi Gras with The Princess & The Frog Movie Night

Happy March Everyone!! Lots of fun things coming up with some warmer weather, except today! We are expecting some severe weather in GA with lots of wind and rain right around rush hour, so if you are traveling home be extra careful out there!
The end of February also meant Mardi Gras so we watched The Princess and The Frog with its New Orleans location!
I surprised the girls with some Princess and the Frog lip glosses from Ebay and some Mardi Gras masks from Oriental Trading, love the colors!
Of course any type of Mardi Gras celebrations requires a King Cake! We got this yummy treat from Dutch Monkey Donuts, it was so good. You are looking at some thick icing made of cream cheese, oh yeah!!
Nicole was not feeling the mask but Taylor tried it on!!
I got in on the fun too!!
Although its not the prettiest picture, this food was so good! We tried a new Cajun restaurant near us called Tams Tupelo and it was very good! Hubby had the craw fish etouffee and I had the yummy shrimp and grits! I would defiantly recommend this, its a little spicy but if you love New Orleans and live in GA, check it out at:
1050 Buford Rd, Cumming, GA 30041
 Gimmie some cake!!
3 bites in Hubby found the baby and let Taylor pull him out, we named him Mardy!
I think this movie has one of the best theme's for young girls, Princess Tiana is all about hard work to achieve her dreams, and she does! She didn't depend on anyone else but herself and had tons of support!
I've been so excited to start wearing some new St. Patrick's Day tops I recently got. This tank top from Target has some lucky clovers on it, its super comfortable and was $12. I paired it with my green Ann Taylor cardigan my mother in law gifted me with a few years ago.
In addition to this new top, I pulled out my Dixie Delights March bracelet, you all know how much I love her stuff, this bracelet is perfect with its Irish colors. I have some Irish heritage in my family from my Mother's side and Hubby's mother side is Irish, in fact her maiden name was Ireland!!!
