JCBC Christmas Show, Christmas Guest Room, Home Alone Movie Night & Christmas Den

Every year since Taylor played Baby Jesus we enjoy watching the Johns Creek Baptist Christmas Spectacular, it is the best Christmas show ever for sure!
With everything from a drum line, to dancing, to ballet dancers and a full band, it is a beautiful show! Here we are after watching the show, it was great!
And cause you don't see this very often, an upside down Christmas tree!
That Saturday morning before the show, Taylor and Nicole celebrated our neighbor Kayela's 5th birthday party!! They made glitter slime, had pizza and some yummy cookie cake!
We usually don't have too many overnight visitors at our house, but for the few we do, I like to make sure the guest room is bright and festive! I hung up some garland over the headboard and added some yellow touches where ever I could!
A simple gold tree from Target with some string lights and black/yellow left over cloth I had for a tree skirt.
I got this yellow burlap wreath from Etsy a few years ago, very simple.
Another Christmas classic for movie night, Home Alone! My entire family loves this movie, I think we all watch it every year! I picked up some classic food items from the movie, remember Fuller and the Pepsi!?
And all Kevin wants is some cheese pizza, is that too much to ask?!
Remember when he says the blessing over his microwavable mac and cheese?
And he held out his little paw for some Tic Tacs!
Taylor's favorite part is when Marv and Harry try to break into Kevin's house, so funny!!
Christmas movies are so much fun to watch every year and get even more special when the ones you enjoyed as a kid, your kids start to love as well!
And here is a pic of our Christmas den. It is never this clean! Only for the pic I pushed everything aside! Nothing new this year except for the wreaths I hung inside and I LOVE them!! I think it makes it more cozy!!

Seeing Santa on The Blue Ridge Railroad

Every Christmas season we drive up to Blue Ridge to ride the Santa train!! It's super cute and a special treat for all riders! It was a beautiful day and we all had so much fun! Cho cho!!
Here we are ready to ride!
The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad!
We saw Rudolph!
Wore are matching dresses!
Stayed cool with some apple cider slushies
Got some orange cream pops!
Shared some butter popcorn
They told Santa all the toys they wanted and got a beautiful bell and peppermint stick from him
Listening to the Night Before Christmas
Daddy and TayTay
The rail cars are all so festive with garland and lights
Although she is no fan of The Grinch, it was a lot of fun this year cause Nicole is not scared of Santa anymore, she loves him!
Although its not cheap, the train is always so much fun and a big adventure for our family!
Christmas fun for everyone!!

Elf on the Shelf Breakfast & Gingerbread Houses

Hey everyone, here we are at the start of another full week, can you believe Christmas is next week, are you ready?! At the start of this month our elf, Elfie came to visit us. She sits on the fireplace and reports back to Santa every night how the girls behavior was. We like to welcome her with a yummy breakfast!

We welcomed Elfie with some pancakes, snowball donuts and bacon!

Even Santa came out with a countdown reminder!
Elfie has book Daddy reads too
Elfie better hang tight once Nicole gets a hold of her!
Later that day our sweet friend Emily came over to play and build a gingerbread house, aprons ready!
I'm all about the already put together houses that all you have to do is decorate! I just roll out a large sheet of wrapping paper cause and gets messy and some hot cocoa of course!
Taylor does more eating then decorating as you can see!
We love having Emily over, the girls were so excited and had so much fun!
Emily in action!
Taylor making some snow on top of the roof
Here I am with my UGA Santa hat on, this was a few hours before the SEC Championship, although the outcome stunk, we are all so proud of how well the Dawgs played! I love having all the kids over playing and doing fun Christmas activities!

The Grinch Movie Night

Nothing says Christmas time like Dr. Seuss' The Grinch! He has been around for a while with a lot of cute movies about him, we all love when his heart grows after realizing the true meaning of Christmas. Every Christmas we do a Grinch movie night, all things green!
I always love this one cause there is so many food items you can make green! The Grinch toy hangs in the girls playroom and this pic was from a few years ago when I took Taylor to the library to see The Grinch in person!
Some green Hawaiian punch, mint chocolate M&M's and a green Christmas candle!
These Grinch cookies are SOOO good! They came from The Memory Making Momma and are super easy! They are fluffy like a cake and a fun green color along with some green Rice Krispy Treats.
Here is Taylor walking in!
She has always loved The Grinch!
Target has the cutest Grinch sleeping bags that I couldn't resist getting and the girls were really excited! They have been sleeping them pretty much every night since then!
Daddy was excited about them too!
Don't be a Grinch!
Best buds!
I think Taylor liked the cookies!
There is something special about Christmas movies every year, hopefully you are not feeling like a Grinch this year and are enjoying these special days without getting too stressed!!

Christmas Guest Bath & Taylor Day

Not the most glamorous room but one that gets used on a daily bases, our Christmas guest bath!
Its pretty small so the pics are not the best, but I will do my best! I changed my peach colored flowers and filled these containers up with red poinsettias.
I added a cute Christmas tree banner and some holly over the mirror
I got this new battery operated candle holder this year, I love it and fits great. The sign came from Hobby Lobby last year.
Taylor's school is having a fun dress up theme every day until Christmas, Monday was The Grinch!!
Grinch hair don't care!
I was also a very special day for my working Mom's heart, I had enough vacation days still left for this year to take a day off and help in Taylor's class! Here we off to the media center!
All the kids were super sweet, Taylor is surrounded by lots of nice friends!
After helping with centers I checked Taylor out early and we went on a Christmas adventure. With it raining all day our original plans changed some but we still had fun!
Lunch break at Chicken Salad Chick, her choice!
She loves the black olives and feta cheese with a sweet tea sitting by the window, she truly is mine!
Then we headed to the movie theater to see The Grinch! We got popcorn, fruit snack and an icy!
We felt like we had the theater to ourselves, it was a lot of fun and a special day spent together!
Coco also got in the Christmas spirit with her Rudolph tee!!
And for Tuesday it was candy cane day so we pulled out the red an white stripes!!
