New Year, New Start

Since its now the middle of January, I figured I better post about our New Year's! As in life, even on the blog I am running behind!! But that is ok :-)
The New Year always brings different things for different people. A lot of the time its a chance to loose weight, or start a goal like being more organizing. Its a time when the Christmas decor comes down and the Christmas bills come in!! But I think most of us are inspired by a new start!
We were open Monday, NYE so I thought this would be the perfect tee for the day, I found it on Ebay for under $15!
That night we ordered some yummy Chinese take out and I pulled out a box of NYE hats and horns I got from Walmart last year! Egg rolls and crab rangoon are my favorite!!
Pajamas ready to pull an all nighter!
Daddy and Taylor are ready to party!
Although we didn't have the traditional NY day food 1/1, we still celebrated a few days later with some ham, hoppin John, cornbread and green bean casserole, delish!
For dessert I made the Memory Making Momma's Chocolate Pound Cake, fantastic!
I was a little nervous about writing this post due to some personal family problems we went thru on NY Day and the days after. I always want to be honest, those 3 days were really hard for me and the girls, it was not at all the way I thought 2019 would start for us. Life can surprise you like that, a lot of the things I do worry about never matter, and the things you never think about, can shake you. Looking back at it now with a little time under my belt, if you are lucky enough like me to have kids, a job, and good family, use that. Lean on them for support, be open and honest so people can understand what you are going thru and be praying for you.
God truly places angels among us, if you ever feel a nudge in your heart follow it and hold tight, its God helping you.
My biggest source of strength is my girls, God game me them to heal and become a stronger person XOXO

Incredibles 2 Movie Night

One of the many gifts Santa brought the girls was the Incredibles 2 DVD, so it was time to celebrate with a movie night!
Santa also gifted them Violet and Baby Jack Jack who made perfect decor for the movie night!
We also enjoyed some Elastogirl twisty treats and Violet's vanishing grapes. I had some sugar cookies I topped with bright red icing just like their outfits!
Taylor's favorite, Violet!
Baby Jack Jack is almost as big a Coco!
More movies for us!! We braved a public place and took the girls to go see Mary Poppins at the theater and it went great! The movie was fantastic, so pretty, uplifting and a perfect sequel!
Nicole's happy place, a big bowl of popcorn in her lap, extra butter please!!

Sweet & Sassy and December Fashion

I've noticed both girls hair seems to pretty much grow at the same rate so I try to do their hair cuts at the same time. This time though, poor little Taylor had the flu on the day of her appointment so it was just me and Coco. She did fantastic and was so excited! She kept saying "I want to get sassy!"
Getting ready to get her hair did!
Look at my little girl so big!! She didn't even get upset when brushing out the tangles.
And here is Mrs. Taylor working her magic!
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the cutest of them all?! Coco is!1
Say Cheese!!!
Check out that side braid!
I also wanted to show you some Christmas items I was gifted! This beautiful purple and pink Lilly P dress came from my Hubby, love it!!
No joke, it seems like it has rained everyday for months here in GA!!
What makes a rainy day better, a super cute monogrammed pink rain jacket my Mother in law gifted me with!! Love it!! Even the hood has a monogram.
Working days when the majority of people are off, like NYE can be a little harder, so having a comfy dress and sweater making going into the office much more cozy!
If you have been following me for a while, you know I love seasonal tee's! For January I ordered this super cute monogram snowflake tee from Etsy, I love wearing these on casual Friday's at the office!

Christmas Eve & Day

Happy Friday friends! For a lot of us this was the first full week back after some nice holiday days off, I hope it went well for you! Today I wanted to share Christmas Eve and Day with ya'll. For such a big day I thought I had taken more pics, but thinking about it, I was trying to just enjoy the moment so that could explain not having my phone in hand all the time.
My parents and G drove up Christmas Eve afternoon with lots of yummy Italian food. We had salad, pasta and chicken, it was great and already made!! Along with some food, Gigi brought up some sugar cookie dough and the girls made some Christmas cookies!
Having Uncle G around means wrestle time!! Can you spot him, he is in there somewhere!
We love having our family up, we didn't really do a ton of activities, just hung out relaxed and watching lots of Christmas movies! Some napping too!
Taylor showing Gigi all her games on the Ipad, she even has a farting cat game!
Christmas Eve we left some cookies and milk out for Santa! Lots of excitement about Santa coming down!!
So much excitement Christmas morning, Santa was so good to the girls, cause there were good girls all year!! Lots of coloring books, an air hockey table, Barbies and many more. We even got a surprise new bed from my parents! Working on putting that together now!!
Christmas morning is the best!!
And we can't talk about Christmas without talking about the reason its so special. The celebration of the world's greatest gift, God sending all of us his son XOXO
When Santa brings you a lolly pop as almost as big as your head!
I hope you have a great weekend, I have a few more Christmas decorations  to take down and a birthday party to celebrate at!!

Prancer Movie Night

Continuing with all our Christmas themed movie nights, next up was one of my childhood favorites, Prancer!
I remember getting to watch this movie at school when I was little and I always loves it, plus I am a big Sam Elliot fan, love that voice.
Now Hubby on the other hand is NOT a fan of the movie, but its OK :-)
I picked up some pudding cups and make a little face on them and put in some candy canes for reindeer antlers!
Them I just got some sandwich rolls, my candy eyes and a red M&M for the nose for little reindeer sammies.
This one was easy to decorate for, just brought up my sparkle reindeer I got from Walmart a few years ago.
Taylor the cutest reindeer!
These girls were asking all kinds of questions about reindeer's like what the eat and how they fly, the magic of Christmas :-)
And when you are surrounded by new Christmas toys, sometimes its hard to beat the boxes they come in!

Christmas with Omma and Poppie

The Saturday before Christmas we celebrated Portmann with Omma, Poppie, Amy, Avery and Ryder! It was a fun filled day with great food, awesome gifts and time together. Here are some pics of our day!
We started the morning off with some yummy cinnamon rolls from our sweet neighbor Sandy.
Coco prefers donuts as you can see!
Omma asked me to bring a dessert so I pulled out my trusty Rainbow Park cookbook and made my Grandmother's yummy ice box cherry pie. Every family dinner we had, this was a staple. Its delicious and easy!!
Notice all the pajamas?! We took a Christmas pj pick! All the cousins played Candy Land for a while and some Barbies.
Omma's dessert table, heaven!
Nicole's favorite part, present time!!
Merry Portmas!!
Omma gifted the girls with these super cute GA Bulldogs!
There was also a full moon that night, Santa was getting ready for his flight!!

Special Day With Nicole

Happy New Year friends!!
It's been a while but I hope your new year is going well so far. I am still sharing some Christmas things with ya'll so hang with me! Today I wanted to share my day with Nicole, her daycare Christmas party!
How cute are these little reindeer?! This is her BFF Arye!
The kids gave a super cute performance of their Christmas song!
We snacked on some Cheetos, fruit, cupcakes and of course some Capri Sun!
After the party we checked out early and headed to the McDonald's playground for some ice cream!
Lots of fun sliding!
And eating some vanilla ice cream! I really treasure any one on one time with each of my girls, I hope they enjoy it as much as me. I was so grateful to have the time off work to attend both of their Christmas parties this year, a truly special time!
And we finished Friday off with our Mickey Mouse Christmas tees!! You know this is all me and I loved it!!
Wishing you all a blessed 2019!!
