I needed some gas before picking up the girls the other day so I surprised them with some blue ice, yummy and cheap!

Welcome Summer!

Remember all the excitement when you were little about the last day of school and the start of summer?! I do!! What a special time for kids!! Every May we do our Welcome Summer Party!! Here is Taylor on the last day of kindergarten!

For just under a $1 I always pick up a piece of poster board and write out Welcome Summer for our patio!

And some of our favorite foods, pizza and ice cream of course!

With some cheap baskets and cheap items I made some little activity stations! Shaving cream, bubbles and water guns!

We also made some driveway puffy paint!! All you need is some flour, shaving cream and food dye! Pour it in a squeeze bottle and its lots of fun for little money!

It doesn't cost much to make lunch a little more special! For Memorial Day I pulled out my Walmart Hot Dog stand, some hot dogs, cheese, Goldfish and tater tots, a fun and festive lunch!

Friday nights made even more special when you get to go to the pool and swim at night!! That is what summer nights are made of!



Taylor's Awards Day

 The last Wednesday before school was out was Taylor's Awards Day! I was able to take off work and have a special day with our special girl. Here she is with her wonderful teachers Mrs. Forbes and Mrs. Threlkeld, 2 of the best teachers ever! They taught her so many wonderful things and she loves them!!

To make the day even more special, Omma and Poppie came out to cheer her on!

Taylor was awarded the Bucket Filler Awards for always being kind to others XOXO

She was also awarded the floaties awards for supporting her classmates

No matter how many awards she gets, I am always so proud of her, the kindness and sweet heart she shows others makes me smile :-)

For lunch Taylor picked Chicken Salad Chick, she loves their pasta and sweet tea and I agree!

After eating we went by Bath and Body Works and got a smell good candle, then we walked by a magnolia tree. They remind me of her, they are beautiful of course, but there is also the term Steel Magnolia. That is what Taylor is like, in just 6 years she had shown strength and beauty in life's experiences. I am so proud of my angel XOXO
